Melinda Moore has been found.

RIP Big Red.
I think everyone else said what I thought. I prayed for you girl.
I hold all those that searched for her and that wanted to highly this past week. I hope we keep the community close.

My mom and I heard from the news first. RIP girl. Big Red's still with us in little ways I believe.
A ride in her honor would be suitable I agree.
<3
Damn...

:rose RIP Melinda. May your soul be at rest. Godspeed be with you.

Thousand applause to the effort put trying to find her. She was found. There's a closure to all of this.

I'm personally glad to see there are still caring people out there. I'm proud to be a part of this community.

Rest in peace, Melinda. My condolences to the family, friends, and the rest of us.

Keep it up, BARFers. Ride safer.

Anyone know where the crash occured?
Was it anywhere near Jenner?
Also anyone know what type of helmet she had?

I only ask, because this all sounds really weird, but the day she disappeared, we have been riding home from Ft. Bragg.

My dad's ST2 broke down on the cliffs of HWY 1 north of Jenner, and while he was waiting for us to go get a truck, some guy drove by with a fairly new either AGV or Arai or something helmet and said "you lose a helmet?"

He hadn't but it stuck as odd, but I didn't think of it again till today...

Man I hope all this was unrelated...
She was found by Fort Ross in a crevice on an 800-foot cliff. The authoriteis are treating it as a suicide. Apparently she left her helmet and riding gloves on a rock as a marker before gunning her moto over the cliff's edge.

If you guys are interested in learning more or to see if you can help go to www.findbigred.com

Wow, I am speechless.
I saw the flyer last week on Sunday @ the General Store @ Alice's when I rode by myself through Skyline.

I am with most members here, I never met her and it's touching to see everyone pullin' together.
I was hoping for a happy closure.

It's good that she is found to give the whole situation a closure at best.

I am still baffled that it may seem like a suicide.

Condolence and prayers for her family & friends.

Like so many, I never met Melinda, and yet I find myself totally devestated by the news. She must have been such a special lady, to have touched so many. The world is a lesser place.

Is this verified? If it is true, it makes it all the more tragic. I know the feeling to be overwhelmed with the burdens of life. But here is a woman obviously loved by so many people. Couldn't she find someone to comfort her and help her through the rough times? So incredibly sad.

For those that don't know HWY1 north of the Russian River...It's a road with many corners with no guard rail with 1000 ft drops and often locked in with fog. We know it was not really searchable by road, so for those who searched it by road, it was basically a "grasp at a straw", don't kick your selves or even try to second guess your selves. It really needed to be searched by air.

I concur. The only way to really check this section is by air. The reason I comment on this, is because I know how responsible I felt for the sections our team searched and I know how I would feel if she had been found on "our watch".

To those that checked that area, we did the best with what we had available at the time. It wouldn't have helped anyone to have a rider struck by a car or truck while stopped, trying to look over the side of a cliff that you couldn't see down anyway.

God Speed Melinda.

My condolencses to her family and friends.:rose :rose :rose

Even though the outcome was not the best, I applaud everyone that rearranged schedules, called in sick, took vacation, or just said a little prayer on her behalf. All showed a genuine attribute, you cared enough to help someone else.

There are still good people in this world. There needs to be more.

Couldn't have said it any better than this. Maybe not total closure until some questions are answered but thanks to everyone who gave so much in the search. RIP Melinda. :rose

RIP fellow Rider.

this thread reminds me of just how kind, compassionate and wonderful BARFers can be.

it must not have been if they found her helmet and gloves on a nearby rock :cry

It didn't really hit me till this morning who Melinda Morre was.

I've never called her Melinda... She's always been Big Red to me.

I've been pretty busy, so I've only been skimming BARF, and I'd
check the story ever now and then, but this is the first time I saw
her moniker mentioned and it clicked as to who it was that was
actually missing... and who it was that was actually gone.

I'll miss her a great deal...

She cheered me up a bunch after my big accident left me crushed
inside... I'll never be able to thank her for that.

She showed up for the old Monday Night Ride more than once,
and always stood out as one of the cool kids who brought life
to the party...

She'd come down and party with the Vampires at our events.
She'd go toe-to-toe with any of us on two wheels, behind the bar,
or shit-talking in a lawn chair out by the hot tub... It didn't matter.

I know the club is going to miss her, I'll miss her, and the
motorcycling community is going to feel her loss.

I've got to head over the hill in a bit to do some errands, and I'll
bust a nice long wheelie at the 17 Summit just for you, Big Red.

-Mike-
