Melinda Moore has been found.

I just talked with Officer Ray Navarro of the Santa Rosa PD. It is unfortunate that someone found Melinda's helmet and gloves thus removing her marker for us so we would not worry.

But, it is clear to him that had we not worked so diligently at making sure the word got out, it might have been a very long time before her bike and body were found.

Good work everyone.

She was found by Fort Ross in a crevice on an 800-foot cliff. The authoriteis are treating it as a suicide. Apparently she left her helmet and riding gloves on a rock as a marker before gunning her moto over the cliff's edge.

I'm devastated having read the news this morning. I had never given up hope for her safe return.

My deepest condolances for Melinda's family and friends. I know you are suffering greatly.

Many of us know someone who maybe hurting and suffering inside and maght be a risk of harming themselfs. Please reach out and try to be there for them. It may make a difference. My daughter is a survivor thanks to her friends.

Let us remember Melinda and try to make a difference.

Sad... sad news.. RIP "Big Red" :(

Truly very tragic.

I only met Melinda once, on a freezing cold morning last winter at the Junction near Lake Berryessa. She rolled into the parking lot, swung a leg off and went in for some coffee. So much cheer and attitude. Came out and it was clear she knew some folks there already, but was a friend to strangers alike. Never caught her name but the memory is indelable.

Don't leave without saying goodbye.

:(

You can just tell just from her pictures that she was someone that was full of life and wanted to share it with as many people as possible...

Man this sucks, my prayers go out to all her family and friends. And I am very proud of being part of such a awesome community or riders that would do so much to try to find a fellow rider. RIP :rose

:cry RIP Melinda...I did not know you, but to hear of your passing has made me very sad none the less...

Thoughts and prayers go out to those of you who had the privelege of knowing such an outgoing young lady...

:rose RIP Was hoping for a different outcome to all of this. What an awesome riding community we have to come together for a fellow rider.

Condolences to friends and family...

Such a sad ending to a beautiful young life.
My husband and I met her in Berkeley a couple of years ago. Though we talked for what seemed like an hour, I especially remembered her vibrant smile and enthusuastic attitude.
Rest in peace Melinda.
