Look I'm sure someone did but he's complaining about a lot of legal things that were done. It's not like something way out of line was done to cheat and gave someone a huge advantage.

What "legal things" is he complaining about?

You said the word 'fact' and you continue to state what did happen when, in fact, you are just guessing based on no real information.

jack daniels' ain't cheap man.

fuck you.
I'll buy you one, one day, m'kay? I think I was drinking a Sapphire martini at the time, so cheers.

Everyone should read this David Emmett interview with Mike Webb about cheating in Moto2. Webb really covers why Marquez is faster. The same reasons guys are faster everywhere: skill, setup, support, size.

Smith prob knows only a tiny bit more info about other teams than cencalballer. if he had any tangible evidence that a team in the paddock was cheating, why the hell would his team not protest? "I know they are cheating, i just have no idea how and cant prove it" means they aren't cheating. Smith is just blowing smoke, sour about the fact that he cant even battle for podiums.

well everyone said Nicky had flown back to Kentucky, but apparently they were wrong as he's the only one to put in a few laps on the final day of testing. track was half n half wet so i doubt Nicky learned much.

Yah the sites said Nicky had flown home, where'd you see Friday laptimes? I did think it odd that he was leaving one day early when they need all the help they can get and they had already paid for the track use anyway...

So Dovi and Spies couldn't ride the Ducati in anger yet, have to wait til February.

Also somebody at motomatters pointed out the Ducati was doing 1:39's in testing way back in March 2012, so don't get too excited about them doing 1:40's now. ;)

Look, MM is simply the real deal. You will see this soon enough.

Really surprised that the WSBK's were allowed to test with the GP bikes. They usually prevent that. Wonder if Dorna is doing it on purpose to bring in WSBK to GP?

Imagine if WSBK travelled WITH GP and we had 2 of each race per weekend. It would allow prototype racing to go the way of CRT, while giving Honda/Yamaha a way of being involved and a part of the circus still...

Things are going to get interesting in the next 2 years.

I don't really understand what you mean. Or what the value to anyone would be.

for 1 thing, it would cut the number of racing threads by 50%

+ increase the confusion inside them by 100%

He complained about the quick shifter as many other teams have. Fact is no one was caught cheating so no one was cheating as far as it's concerned. That is to the best of my knowledge besides the Ant West issue which was a person not the bike.

While I understand that Webb works for Dorna, did you read that link I posted? They are tracking data-logs, and even if someone is cheating, they are not gaining anything. As he points out, the guys winning, are not cheating because they get checked all the time. If the guy running 18th is cheating and still finishing 18th does anyone, besides the guy in 19th, care?

ive run out of bourbon so im switching to Bombay Sapphire Martinis just for you guys.

the quickshifter that MM was running was legal. IIRC, it was explained that no where in the rules did it say that u had to use the quickshifter that Honda/Dorna/whoever provided. so MM and his team were "caught" following the rules.

this comes up in F1 a lot really, certain teams interpret the rules differently than others. sometimes the ruling body has to issue a clarification on the rules, which can force certain teams to abandon things they had been using for week. but more often than not, the organization says "thats perfectly fine" and teams that werent exploiting that advantage are left dumbfounded. the teams that dont ask for clarification are the ones missing out, their loss really.

I like bourbon, too, so I am equal opportunity race fan.

This kind of thing comes up in all racing, unless the racers have no money. What I like about the Moto2 way of handling things is the sealed, team-unobtainable, track information as the primary way to detect cheating. It makes sense, if you know what you are looking for. And as pointed out, some people may be cheating, but they stink at it. :laughing

Interviewer: Bradley Smith, why did you finish 9th in Qatar, 11th at Jerez, 10th in Portugal, 12th at Catalunya, 16th at Indianapolis, 12th in Australia, and 16th at Valencia?

Smith: My shitty results were all caused by Marc Marquez's quickshifter.

MW: ...The cheating is ongoing. I'm equally sure that over the three years, there have been people who have got away with things. And Danny [Aldridge, Assistant Technical Director] and his team are trying to keep a lid on it
