Progressive is a bit cheaper than AAA and includes roadside assistance. Never had to file claim with AAA before, but found out too late that AAA does not have motorcycle roadside assistance.
Any recommendations?

If you would like I can quote some different companies for you. I am a broke and have a few different companies that have a very good MC policy.

I was fender bendered on my bike by a car who had Progressive. The adjuster, payout, follow up, was incredible. I had a figure in my head I was going to insist on to make my bike right, they exceeded that figure first go round and offered to up it if I found prices on parts were higher than their price book. If I were to change, they would be my choice.
Also, the bike shop I worked at, when we had an insurance job come in, Progressive was always the fastest to settle and pay. I'm sure others are good, but some use contracted adjusters, Progressive uses thier own. Sometimes, they cut a check out of the back of thier car.

Progressive offers MSF discount, and also AMA discount - that one alone pays for your AMA membership. No brainer.

I am no longer a customer, but those discounts were a good perk when I was. They also offer $500k UIM coverage which I would not ride without. Geico only offered $300k last time I checked.

I've had Progressive for the past 10 yrs (both auto and mc coverage). Very happy with them, fast payout, roadside assistance (i've used 4 times, no issues), and also covers up to $1k of my riding gear if I were in an accident.

Some people don't like them but I've had 5 star service every single time (even the accident rep I spoke with tracked a SV with her husband!)

Nationwide is on your siiiiide. Dunno I've had my best luck with rates with them.. good coverage and they do offer roadside assistance.

I have Progressive assigned thorough my AAA insurance. AAA definitely has roadside assistance for motorcycles. I used it recently.

Quote sent your way. Let me know if you have any questions about it.

can't beat state farm. :thumbup
but then i have every discount they have except for the age 65 discount. :afm199

.

aaa has been great to me, and peace of mind wins over saving a few bucks. iirc, aaa discounts for msf as well.

Progressive has been fine by me over the last 7 years. No complaints.
1 truck and 7 motos insured.

I read here that AAA is now using progressive for moto insurance.

I'll move to state farm when my policy expires. home, auto, moto and umbrella. I have an agent 200 feet from my house.

Been using State Farm for years. I pay $50 a month for both my bikes. When I needed them to pay out, they did.

I've had Geico, Progressive, State Farm. The last go round, State Farm was $785 or so on my homeowners, the car and truck were the same at the others, but AAA came in at $375 or so for home owners, but with the multi policy discount, the car and truck, plus the KTM was the same, as just the car and truck with State Farm. It's like the bike is free. As for free tows, I've got a truck, just for that reason. And they were less than Progressive and Geico, but everyone's policies seem to vary a bit. My coverage is the same as before, but my homeowners is cut in half, and the bike is free, sort of. That isn't very clear, is it?

Haven't read thru the thread but in the scrolling I caught a glimpse of state farm.

I got a dewy in the car and state farm dropped me like a bad habit. All accounts sans the life insurance. Progressive picked me up for almost no cost over state farm before the ticket.

State Farm is known to drop people who smell like a liability, keeps payouts low.
