Sounds like an interesting wager. Niners could be a surprise contender, but the Division is still strong even with Seattle slumping. Rams are no joke.

Rams are going to do one of two things:
1) make a serious run at the title this year;
2) fall on their face like the 2000 'Skins and finish 500 or less.

I think they've got a good coach running things but I have to wonder if all the big signings are going to pan out. Will the coaching staff be able to pull the team together as a cohesive unit or will it be a loose assemblage of big-name players brought in to woo the crowds into attending games? I like the coach so I'm leaning toward option 1.

that gurley ran over the 9ers and the raiders last year

that guy can fooqn pound that rock into any line.....

It’s too bad they rested him the second game I’d have liked to see how their offense may have changed against a more consistent Niners offense.

Gurley has never played the Raiders? That 52-0 drubbing in 2014 was quite embarrassing but Gurley joined the league the following year.

Yeah, but unlike those Pigskins, the Rams were a contender before they brought the extra talent in. Gurley is a stud who had a sophomore slump. I think he is real.

The Skins were 10-6 in ‘99 and made the postseason. :dunno

Their ownership is keeping a much lower profile than Snyder (at least I don’t see them in the headlines much). That doesn’t mean they aren’t mucking things up in the background. I don’t have any inside scoops but what I do see says they have a good coaching staff that will weather any ownership meddling and put a solid contender on the field this year.

I guess it was preseason last year, i thought gurley basically won the 4th quarter time of possession, or I may have forgotten, but omfg that guy can run the rock.

Yeah and their Oline is no joke. Even the backup got 100+ in the final game against my 9ers.

I had Gurley on my fantasy team last year, he was nuclear powered.

Gurley single handedly carried my teams broke ass to the finish line last year. David Johnson the year before

I spent all of last year mocking the guy who took David Johnson #1 overall because he'd had Gurly the year before :rofl

Just when you think Mark Davis can't get any weirder and alienate fans anymore, he gets the aging and likely soon-to-die washed-up Brent Musburger, a real icon of the Bay Area, to call the Vegas Raiders.

Even if it turns out that Papa didn't want to commute, and/or wanted to wash his hands of the Davis Trainwreck, I still cant figure out how getting old-school guy is a bonus. I guess Marv Albert wasn't available. Oh well, he could have hired Joe Buck.

yeah that sucks. supposedly he's going to tell his side of the story on 95.7 next Monday when he's back from vacation. Imma hold off judgement until I hear what he has to say.

He also works A's and W's, so I can understand why he wouldn't want to go to Vegas (to work).

Right. He has good gigs here, why mess with it?

But, I really can't stand Musburger. I thought he was sentenced to permanent Saturday (college) work only anyway where they relegate the aging lions of sportscasting. Nobody can say "Nittany Lions" or "Crimson Tide" with more gusto than Musto.
