Sad, I liked him. He dug the Raiders out of the funk.

He looks older than he actually is (79). But how this fits in with some kind of youthful Chucky clean slate for Vegas Raiders eludes me.

I wrote about it last week but I still think it's a really weird move.

I doubt it. I think the Giants would let Odell go before Atlanta would let Julio go. They will let him sit before they trade him I think. I imagine a deal is going to get done. The Niners would have to sell the whole future to get him and they are not in, "Win Now," mode where that is the missing piece to a ring as the team ages.

The Niners are young team that is emerging hot from a serious rebuild. JJ has 2 years left on his contract. I would say that you spend another year rebuilding that Defense, and if he is still fighting with Atlanta next year (he did last year too), then you sell the farm for him if he still has the step next year to get to the next level.

Beal has a history of shoulder issues; he had right shoulder surgery in February, according to NJ Advance Media.

The Giants gave up a third-round pick in 2019 to select Beal, who was the highest-drafted player in the supplemental draft since wide receiver Josh Gordon went in the second round in 2012. They were hoping he could contribute immediately in a secondary that lacked depth.
