Too many eggs for one basket.
Ummm, Odell Beckham is still one of the best, if not the best, WR in football Evan Engram is a Top 5 receiving TE. Sterling Shepard is an emerging star at WR. Like, none of those are questions even up for debate with anybody worth his opinion on professional sports.
There are only 2 question marks on the Giants having one of the top offenses in the NFL this year.
1) Can the rebuilt O-line hold up, particularly in a schedule that includes some of the most brutal defenses in the league (Jags, Falcons, Bears), including the Shitbirds and Cowgirls 2 a year (All Top 10 D last year)?
2) If Eli gets the protection, does he still have the arm to make plays if Defenses are worried about the Saqsquatch pulverizing them on the ground?
On paper, everything seems to promise a top flight offense, barring crippling injuries (which we had last year). This isn't all your eggs in one basket, these guys are build for a nightmarish, "Pick your Poison," Offense of the type we put out in 2011. Between the Running game and the 3 wide set, you simply couldn't cover everything, nobody is deep enough on Defense.
Speaking of which, it will be amazing if our Defense can even post middle of the pack numbers this year, but here is to hoping that investing in Linebacker for the first time since Antonio Pierce and switching to a 3-4 with a new DC will make for some drastic changes.
