NFL 2018/2019 Thread

"you want to play a game for a living and get paid bank???"
"nah blood, i just wanna punch some bitches and ruin my earning potential for life and flip burgers at chick fila"

Janikowski signs 1-year deal with Seahawks.

don't know why I get surprised every year when high profile players change teams. something's off with how players are paid in the league.

Apparently the vast majority of players actually take pay cuts to stay with their teams...or at least that's the admonishment I've gotten when I've stated that they move for money - either the team cuts them to save it or they can make more elsewhere.

Countdown till he plays for the Redskins in 5, 4, 3, 2...

The Eagles hate Dallas the way the Giants hate the Eagles, and I am sure the Shitbirds would jump at this for the pure hate of it, but they don't have the Cap space, neither do the Giants and we don't need him unless we let OdB go. The Skins have money and need.

It is both, right? All that Hustle and flow of trying to buy the best team you can within a Salary Cap. Teams want to win as cheaply as possible and Players want to make as much per game as possible. Whoever has the most perceived value towards winning tends to get what they want. I'm sure DB could have stayed for a dice up of his deal, but he wasn't interested. Zeke and Prescott BOTH are on Rookie contracts that are going to come due for a payday very soon, Dallas needs to make room for their future.

Well, Zeke anyway. Dak is overrated.

I agree, I think that O-Line is letting him shine beyond his talent, but you think the Cowgirls are going to let him walk without a blockbuster check?

If they're smart, yes. You can't give a franchise deal to a middle of the road guy.

Yeah I love getting home at fucking midnight on Christmas.

If one has to work at the game and doesn't leave until approx 90 min after the game is over, it sucks balls :thumbup

Wow, re: Ruben Foster case:

Elissa Ennis, the former girlfriend, released a statement through her attorney, Stephanie Rickard, in which she said she can prove Foster was not responsible for her injuries.

“(Foster) did not strike her, injure her or threaten her,” Rickard said in the statement.

Ennis’ injuries were the result of a physical fight with another woman, and that Foster tried to end his relationship with Ennis after he learned of the fight, Rickard said.

There is a video of that fight with another woman, according to Rickard.

“She was extremely upset and told him if he broke up with her she would ‘trash his career,’ ” Rickard said.
