Rolls with it...
He’s got some weird looking feet...
Second episode of Hard Knocks watched and damn, I'm glad they picked the Raiders. Ya gotta love Chucky. Entertaining as hell. And Richie Incognito is actually fun to watch, too.

What would we be talking about without said drama anyway?
1. clearly anyone who thinks AB is tanking it hasn't seen his feet.
2. to have that kind of work ethic and drive to be physically perfect, definitely lends itself to the idea of one being mentally unstable.

I want to start my everyday with The Autumn Wind. What a great poem. Very inspirational.
Um, do you understand how his feet were injured?

It is because he did the treatment without the appropriate foot protection.
Also, did you hear his statement about threatening to retire if he is unable to use his old Steelers Helmet? He wants it repainted, so he does not have to use the newer helmet models. Apparently the league won't allow it because the older model is not certified sufficiently to protect against concussion by current standards. He says he can't see in the new league allowed helmets.

I do understand how his feet were injured. What we (you, me, erryone else except AB and the cryo people) don't know is the sequence of events that led to the injury. Those cryo "experts" don't know what happened in that office in France.
you have implied that he intentionally caused himself a career-threatening injury, in order to tank this one season. Potentially costing him 10s of Millions. That's as preposterous as Jersey-A's o-line!
re: the helmet. He obviously cares..a lot...about his best chances of success.
Which argues against the idea he fucked up his feet on purpose. He filed the grievance, lost, and moved on. In fact he found his same helmet but a newer year manufacture. He'll run into this problem next year too, but at least this year everyone seems to be satisfied.
All this adds up to a guy who's extremely talented, does everything he can to be the best he can be...and is more than just a little 'off'.

I don't think that he tanked it, I think much like his helmet thing, he is mentally ill and was probably trying to tough guy his way through it without the safety equipment, because he thinks he can do anything. That would be a logic train inline with the helmet thing too.
I did not bring up retiring over petty shit, he did.
.
agreed. He wasn't trying to tank the season. it was a tough-guy move to bolster his seriousness about his grievance to the NFL. He wasn't going to retire. The whole "per league sources, he announced that he's willing to retire" is probably a stretch of the truth as well.
I think the cryo-foot thing was a big mistake. Either by AB or the cryo people...doesn't really matter. but a large gaff was made.
The series of events sings of serious NPD to me, but we shall see.

I guess we may safely say, he's on the spectrum. Which means Gruden is playing it perfectly. He came out and told everyone it's not ABs fault for the foot and he fully supports him in whatever he's doing. AB said he really appreciated that, etc. If Gruden can get this guy to focus on wanting to please him, we may see a very motivated AB out there. Gruden and AB vs. the world
