NFL 2019

Any team knows he will immediately be placed on the exempt list while the investigation continues, so I don't think there's a rush by any team to sign him. It's not like he'd be able to help a team going to this years playoffs.

As of November:

Whether the delay is legitimate or the byproduct of the league trying to run out the clock on its 100th season without letting Brown back in, there’s not much time for Brown to make a difference for anyone in 2019. The question then becomes whether Brown will serve an official suspension to start the 2020 season.

AB would be a perfect fit in Seattle.

Not sure if you are wishing for their misfortune, but taken at face value, not sure he would get along with Rah-Rah Pete any better than Marshawn did in the end. There seems to be some kind of sub-cultural disconnect.

I'm well aware of Antonio Brown's status. He's not suspended, on the commisioner's exempt list, or anything. He could sign and play this weekend. I was just saying he'd fill a WR hole in Seattle's offense.

He would be put on the exempt list the minute he signs.

Based on the civil suit for sexual assault he's currently wrapped up in?

AB will not play another down this year even if he was signed this very minute, and depending on the NFL's own investigation he is in serious jeopardy of not playing much next year.

He has also filed a countersuit against his accuser, which doesn't make the NFL/Roger Goodell too happy, the optics aren't exactly female fan friendly.

At least Kap can stand behind his morals.

That would've happened the first time she filed, when he was actually on an NFL roster. The NFL said they wouldn't do it back in September, and not much has changed since other than his twitterrants. While there is an active investigation, all we're left with is speculation. I agree chances are greater than good he doesn't play another down this year. But I'm not fooled into thinking the NFL is concerned about optics. There are plenty of criminals taking snaps each week.

I left the Kaep comparison out of my post because well, it would be an insult to AB's talent. :laughing

I was thinking the same thing. AB is actually a good receiver when he isn't being psycho.

Kaep was a terrible QB. His athleticism worked really well in the Pistol offense, which was a gimmick playbook that only lasted a couple of years, just like the Wildcat did for a couple of years. As soon as Pro Defenses adjusted to the Pistol by adding a Spy close to the line, Kaep was useless.

LOL, you are forgetting his racist Rap Album that is about to be released. :laughing

Are you forgetting about the 2nd accuser and the threats he texted her?

Not at all. I'm just not going to assume something is going to happen when it comes to the league's investigations.

I don't know anything about that.

Nice way to hang in there by the Niners. Not sure there the D was, the Rams literally had 20 more plays on offense.

Lots of injuries. They're on like the 5th and 6th guys on the depth chart at defensive end

Also, #HotTake or whatever but Shanahan/Lynch > Harbaugh / Baalke
