NFL 2019

Raiders, so sad. Whatever happened to pride and poise?

:x

Are you mad? The Raiders have never in the history of the franchise had poise. Tactless, graceless, brutish, savages has been their brand since Al Davis birthed them. Always. Pride, yes, but never with grace. Thuggish, filthy, peasants has been their brand from day one. If anyone in that organization dared to try and present an once of nobility, they would be run out of town on a rail by their very own fan base.

Good for the Eagles, though an 8-8 tiebreaker would have been pretty funny.

Yeah, they will not get far in January.

I am very interested to see how the Shurmur experiment continues to work next year. The Giants are poised with another year of high draft picks and the huge pile of dead money this years is gone and turned into a huge pile of cap room next year to invest in high dollar defensive free agents to fix the defense.

This is a team that has some good building blocks that could turn around hard with the right people in charge, but I just don't know if Gettleman and Shurmur are those guys.

Detroit sure did look cool in that first half against the Pack. They are unable to close games, but I really hope that Dave Blough kid gets a shot somewhere. He was making some real plays today.

Should have been pass interference. Clear hold, no call. Good game overall

Wrong.

Regardless, how many plays from 10 yards out does Seattle need to score? It’s not soccer and a penality kick.

Game wouldn’t have been that close if that roughing call on Garland wasn’t called. Niners eat clock and likely get a field goals at least. Seattle gets ball back with like 1:30 down 8 points.

Seattle fans always with excuses. Should have ran lunch more BUT the delay of game jacked that up.

Wrong.

Actually that's how the game works. If there's an obvious penalty, like pass interference in the endzone or anywhere else, it should be called. Let the defender just wrap him up so he can't catch the ball, no big deal. Did you say the same thing about the Saints non call last year? It doesn't get more obvious than that. Oh, but Saints fans and their excuses.

As for delay of game, that's a dumb move on the Seahawks, as stated before, no idea what they were thinking.

About that...

I am not surprised and cannot say that I disagree. I think if he had beat Philly, he would have gotten another year, and it sucks to hang a guy out to dry when he is in the middel of a major team rebuild, but quite frankly, the Giants just plain got out coached so many times this year.

They are living with a huge number of roster holes, especially on D, but they are better than they have been playing this year. Some people like Matt Rhule, others are saying Jim Harbaugh. One thing that SF may be worried about is that Robert Saleh is on a lot of people's lists.

Personally, I think I like Riverboat Ron.

Riverboat Ron (“Seaside, YOU KNOW!”) is in talks to become the ‘skins new coach. They also fired Bruce Allen.

Kitchens is out in Cleveland, Garrett meets with Jerry later today.

If you could choose between D.C. and Snyder or NY and Mara, who would you pick? :laughing

I will be sad if Garett is fired.

Snyder finally getting rid of Allen is a huge step in a positive direction for that franchise. They also have the number 2 pick in the draft.

But, the Giants haven’t announced anything yet, right?

Raiders have 2 first round picks at 12 and 19.... :party

Rivera to Washington.

For some reason Cleveland wants to interview Greg Roman :laughing

Giants, Browns, and Panthers all requested interviews with Josh McDaniels

Giants also talking to the Baylor HC Rhule.

Sorry, guy, but the Giants are like the Jets. Every year it is said that they either are, or on the cusp of being good. It's an East Coast centered press thing.

The Giants QB is an unknown quantity, really. They traded their best WR and are wasting the talents of the best RB in the league with inferior line play etc.

Plan on a couple more years of suck.:afm199

Hell of a run for the 49ers.

When I saw the stop Dan Bunz flashed into my mind.
On the edge until the last second. Great season.

Iggles get a home playoff game! whoda thunk it...

Bless Miami, I mean how often can we really be proud of Florida?

Hats off the 49er's Hell of a season so far.

All credit to the Seahawks for playing above their current state. They can really get it up for the Niners. Russell Wilson is as close to Kryptonite to Niners as it comes. I was in disbelief that they lost but that was some weird ass officiating, hurting both sides, last night. I so expected a gimme to the hawks.

I kept having the Deja-vu all over again bit near the end of the game, just feeling suffocated that, once again, Seattle would beat em. And its always Wilson to Lockette. Gawd how many times!!!!!?!?!?!?!? And I kept thinking about Julio Jones and that highly irregular clock stoppage a few weeks ago. We had to listen on radio as I drove home from family weekend away in driving rain. Ms BA and I were in complete disagreement, because I remembered the Jones play and she was the one having faith in the Niners win on that goal-line tackle.

i just hope the demon is truly exorcised and that we won't have so many squeakers from here on out. Because I'm pretty sure we have to play them again in two weeks, nestpaw? And, since I can still see Sherman with that turkey drumstick in my mind's eye, it doesn't matter that it's a home game.

4-12 last year, 7-9 this year, and mathematically alive up to the final game. :dunno

You using some kind of new math? :laughing

The most disappointing game was that Jacksonville game.

To me, Raiders was the worst, of what I saw. In my folks living room we're all screaming, kick the point. Take the Overtime...What were we missing????

Disbelief. Even if going nowhere, it's like he just didn't feel like playing his team anymore.

Yeah, he gambled... the coaching guidebook says play for the tie on the road.

They were already out of the playoffs by that time, but it woulda been nice.

Gruden said they were out of linebackers (injuries???) and he didn't want to go into overtime without them. At least that is what he said in an article I read this morning.

Besides, isn't that something like 7 or maybe 9 years in a row of loosing Game 17 for the raiders. Ha ha.:twofinger

What a liar. He wanted the game over one way or another.
He already knew the playoffs were not going to happen. The Titans won.:rolleyes
