NFL 2019

But that's the thing, they already done got punched in the face earlier this year. Like Aikman or Buck said, they was takin' their manhood away.:laughing (oh, and right about outing the defensive reaction in pre-snap play)

Niners are just peakin' pure and simple. Beautiful to behold for us fan and objective fans of the game. What's not to like, unless you are into the cult of the QB....I really wonder how human the next two weeks will show them to be on Feb 2. The defense played at 11 for the whole first half then turned it down to about 7 or 8, which at least gave the Pack something to take home.

Parenthetical side note: I already mentioned Gore. I kinda wish Anquan Boldin had gotten to play with this year's squad too. I love that guy. He deserved better. A "grown man" as they say. But he wouldn't have caught any more passes than current WRs last Sunday anyway.

He first plan was something along the lines of: these are the upstart 4-12s who overstepped their place in the NFL hierarchy and ARogers and the pack are the ones who will put them in their place.
Not so much a plan as a turned up nose and smirk.
Afterward they decided they needed to rework the “plan” to really showcase their strengths and exploit the 9er weaknesses.
They thought that being prepared for the second punch would make it easier to take or shrug off.

Whoops.

Boldin was a great blocker. He would have fit this team perfectly. Samuel reminds me a bit of him.

Yeah, but you know how shit is. I will believe it when I see it, but if he says it, I will believe him.

Press conference is still Friday, but:

"For 16 seasons, Eli Manning defined what it is to be a New York Giant both on and off the field," John Mara, the team's president and chief executive officer, said Wednesday in a statement announcing Manning's retirement. "Eli is our only two-time Super Bowl MVP and one of the very best players in our franchise's history. He represented our franchise as a consummate professional with dignity and accountability. It meant something to Eli to be the Giants quarterback, and it meant even more to us. We are beyond grateful for his contributions to our organization and look forward to celebrating his induction into the Giants Ring of Honor in the near future."

I had a feeling he was done soon. I am not an Eli fan but he had a good run, walking away with two rings.

Even though I am not a Bay Area native, I have always been a fan, mostly because Joe Montana was from Western Pa. I am 100% rooting for the 49ers this SB and think it's going to be one of the better ones in a loooonnnnggggg time.

Mahomes does good off the field.

Spent my youth in Kansas City and looking forward to a damn good game! Neither game was as expected Sunday and I see a great quarterback and recent better defense against a good quarterback with a great defense. I was surprised the Chiefs held Henry and surprised Green Bay had nothing either side of the ball. Both coaches tend to get conservative with a lead which is understandable if frustrating at times. Mahomes and receivers were rusty the last 2 first quarters and hope that goes away as I have doubts about a comeback against the 49er defense. As I thought about Mahomes low passes after Sunday’s game I believe he was putting the ball where only his guys could catch it.
Looking forward to a fine Super Bowl.
With a sentimental outcome.

There will definitely be cheers and tears either way.

They really did a cold start last Sunday and it surprised me, but it's kind of the luxury having Mahomes affords. They have every reason to be super confident about their chances with that explosive scoring. I am counting the days to see if the fierce SF D can squelch that football elf. I think he is the most exciting player of the decade and maybe more, and I love to watch him, but we shall see.... There have to be at least a few passes to Tyreek that succeed....Sherman can't catch him but maybe he can prevent the reception, I dunno.

I also grew up in K.C. Lifelong Chiefs fan. Excited because I still remember when I was five years old, sitting on my Dad's shoulders holding a hand-drawn Led Dawson poster while attending the SuperBowl IV victory parade.

Not hard when the opposing Offense gets 2:53 on the field the whole game due to the never ending Prison Rape the Denver D was inflicting on people. I mean, fucking Tim Tebow won a playoff game on that team. Like I said, his Superbowl with them, he had a QBR of like 67 or some shit. His glory years were for the most part entirely with the Colts. He had a couple of decentyears with Denver, but they never meant anything.

Of course I was. He played for like 12 years in Indy and won his first Superbowl there. No one thinks of him as a Bronco, do they? He spent like 3 washed up years in Denver being largely inconsequential.

That would be like calling Joe Montana one of the all time great Kansas City Chiefs.

I hope he calls it and goes out with dignity. He is such a righteous dude, I would hate to see him Favre around for a few years.

I don’t know how you can say his time in Denver was inconsequential, 2 SB appearances, 1 ring, his 5the MVP and the most prolific offense in NFL history. And yes Denver fans think of him as a bronco. Montana never won a SB without Rice so his time in KC IS inconsequential.

That is just strange. He spent like less than a quarter of his career in Denver. :dunno

His 50+ TD season when they played Seattle was stellar, but they lost that Superbowl by what, like 40 points or some embarrassing shit? I am pretty sure that was the worst keistering in a Superbowl since Montana cornholed the Broncs in 1990.

Like I said, his QB rating for that winning Superbowl season was less than 70. He started for only like half that Season. The Defense completely carried that team and it was an amazing defense. I really liked it. Von Miller was such a beast that year.

No doubting anything you've said here. But it is what it is. Denver welcomed Manning with open arms after the Colts crapped all over him, doubting his return. As a whole, the Broncos benefited from awesome score anytime he wanted Peyton Manning, as well as the Peyton Manning that needed a walker.
