I think he finally figured out he needed to stop trying to make Watson into Tom Brady and let him do his thing, and wow, they won a playoff game... against Buffalo and their turnover prone QB.

They really weren't that impressive given the talent they had/have.

Barely got a .625 win percentage and played in the weak AFC South division. They had a couple of good games against quality opponents and barely beat the dregs of the AFC. Think they are overrated right now.

Don't know what the Niners score will be but everyone is downplaying the Niners like they didn't play the class of the NFL all season. When they lost it was barely usually on last play/drive.

I think Jimmy G is going to have to throw more than the last few times. I imagine Shannon is going to have an evil mix.

We are not fast enough to play a lot of man to man in the D-backfield so I expect zone and some double coverage on **edit Hill** and their very effective TE. He may be the main dude they have to shut down beside corralling that fast and slippery QB.

Any team that doesn't double Tyreek Hill all day will be destroyed. SF will need to double him all day and have Bosa noodling all slippery slimey up Mahomes cornhole before he can dump off to Kelce.

IF we can takeout Kelce we can win (re watch the last A.smith playoff run with Kelce - they were like again 14-2 Kelce gets hurt in 1st half and offense goes stagnant and they loose)

If we cant stop Kelce we will loose

Tyreek can be doubled sok, but when Kelce is doubled - we need to fooqn stop him, no fukn catches he is another Kittle and will drag ppl towards the 1st down marker

It is a pick your poison Offense. There aren't enough Defenders to double Hill and Kelce without giving Sammy Watkins a 200 yard day.

Ward and Warner will have to do present and tight enough Zone work to let the pass rush penetrate before Kelce can be a valid target.
 
the entire game is gonna be just the Dline getting to Mahomes. That's it.

KC can't stop the run, and if they stack the box Shanny will throw a ton of play action into the mix.

That's assuming Mahomes has the time to throw. They are fast receivers for sure but a strong pass rush and jamming receivers are the line will significantly slow down the pass. I worry about lots of damn screen plays. Kelce will get slowed down by the linebackers.

Exactly. Niners eat up clock, run, run, and play action to Kittle, Debo, Juice-Check ;)

Read that KC is one of the worst in defensive holding so hope that goes in Niners favor.

I don't see this a high scoring game. KC can't run the ball like the Saints can. They pass pass and pass. If the Niners can pressure and disrupt timing, they win.
