NFL 2020

Their cap numbers are wrong. The cap won't be that high next year.

Looking at the cap right now is almost a shell game with Covid. The variables are going to make it difficult signing multi-year deals, especially with high end players with a $175m floor coming for 2021. I'll be a bit surprised if Kittle signs anytime soon.

But Mahomey just proved QB's get 1 Billion! :laughing

the best players on the Raiders are on the o-line. As usual, their health will determine the team's success.

Josh Jacobs is going to be a superstar. He'll get to prove it against a whole host of good teams right from the jump. Defenses will make them prove Carr can beat them, and we'll see if he can deliver to his weapons. I think he will.

Man, I really hope this season happens.

Since Clemson, I've been kind of partial to Hunter Renfrow. Too bad he's on the Raiders, well that's a +1 for Mayock, overcoming Gruden and all. It took them nearly half the season to figure out how to use what they had.

He's such a doofus but it looks good until you get to the spoiler:

The days of "superstar" RBs are gone.

Guys will put up big numbers for a handful of seasons and then get discarded for the next young baller.

I'd guess the last Hall of Fame career RBs we're ever gonna see are Adrian Peterson and Frank Gore. The longevity just isn't there anymore for the position.

3rd-and-renfrow is becoming my favorite player. he's a bit terrified of getting rocked after a catch, and maybe he should be. but I think he'll figure it out and develop into a great slot receiver.

I think the position is just going through a transition. Absent injury, I have a hard time envisioning Christian McCaffery not getting to the HOF level. It'll come full circle and someday we'll see the ground and pound again.

Not unless rules get changed again.

CMC will transition out of the RB role and become a slot receiver, or he'll get worn out too.

The SECOND he loses a step, he's done. It's the same with everyone now, except Gore.

Maybe, but McCaffrey is on track to have a Faulk and Tomlinson type of career. I think talent transcends rules, and of course, injury is the ever present asterisk.

Gore had already lost that step when he entered the league. I don't think I've seen an RB get run down from behind as many times as Gore. Not bagging on the guy just stating the facts. Soooo many times he'd break one from 50+ out just to get tackled inside the 10. And the worst part was that the O didn't have the ability (play calling, passing, or shear will) to punch it in afterward. Live and die by FG (pun intended).

Yeah but if it's 3rd and 4, Gore will get you 4.5 yards.

IF it's 3rd and 6, though, he'll still get you 4.5 yards.

I am still hoping to see Incognito do some exciting serial killer shit on TV.
