NFL 2020

and now the 9ers facility is closed due to a covid scare/outbreak.

goddamn

A weird question I keep seeing is, do they walk from JG because he is too fragile?

I mean, it seems like as goes The Grapp, so goes the Niners. When he is playing, they are balling out and real contenders. The other 50% of his career, when he is on IR, they can't do shit, but he still has years left on his contract.

Seems to me like you keep him and hope for a rebound next year?

hey look, jimmy g is pretty good! top half for sure. The questions I have are: who do you get to replace him? And, should you really start over with a rookie QB, or look to land say Rodgers or sommat?

I mean, the contract is in place, I don't see how they get rid of him. If you see a good replacment come up at a convenient draft spot, sure, you take him to hold the clipboard and lord knows the back up will get to play when JG goes on IR again, but getting rid of a dude that can push you into the win column like that makes no sense. Then again I still don't know why Foles isn't still in Philadelphia.

I just wanna share something. In case anyone still wonders what the Eagles v. Cowboys beef is about.

Did that? While they were doing that from '87 to '96 the Cowgirls won 3 Superbowls, DC won 2, and the Giants won 2. :laughing

Man, I hate it when the Eagles make me root for Dallas. :laughing

You gotta look at the details more, dude. They front loaded the shit out of the contract. They can cut him after this year and only have $2.8M in dead cap space next season.

If his ankle is really fucked to the point that 2017 Jimmy never comes back, they can get out really easily.

I just don't feel football this year without a crowd. The energy is less than preseason games which I can never watch. There fore I have turned to dredging up rehashed of seasons gone by. Enjoy!

Easy to get out of the contract. But who will replace him? Who is better, that’s available?

Likely nobody. They need to keep him unless they can get a QB in the draft. That’s not likely. The Jets and other needy teams precede them.

Oh, trust me I know - I'm on the Keep Jimmy train anyway. He was 10min (and a bunch of noncalls on Bosa, and probably a concussion ona
noncall helmet to helmet on JG) away from winning us another ring.

IMO, the only thing that would cause them to move on was something insane like and needing surgery and not recovering fully, which it's said that he doesn't.

and then....

:teeth

I mean, I wasn't trying to mention that we went to 3 more Superbowls and won 2 in the period after, but if you want us to brag...

I still contend that the Ahmad Bradshaw Touchdown is the single funniest Touchdown in Superbowl history.

:laughing

Why did you have to let everyone know how pimply my butt is?

We need full transparency here, No Secrets Between Sailors.

No, I get that. I'm not saying they couldn't, I'm saying why would they? When he plays, they win. When he doesn't, they stink. He is clearly an injury risk, but you keep that guy. Until a replacement becomes easy and convenient.
