The NY Papers were all demanding he resign after that Game. I do not see how you can be a Professional DC in that situation and not just call a basic Prevent formation. Especially for the Jets, who are hunting for their 1st win still. As a lifelong Giants fan, of course I dislike the Jets, but I feel bad for Frank the Tank.
I turned it off at about 1:37 thinking I didn't want to see another sad Raiders loss. Unbelievable.
And bravo to NY Giants. I hate the Seahawks. And they did it without their starting QB???
Look, I'm not kidding myself that the Seahawks just fell into a trap game. The Division is ours to lose unless Washington shocks the world against the Steelers today (good f'in luck. If Pitt was asleep, NYG just woke them up)
Nevertheless, we have won 4 games straight on hard running and even harder defense.
We won games on running without Saquon The Savior, who will be back next year. His questionable durability as a 3 down back now has Wayne Gallman proven as the left handed punch to go with that hard right. The O-Line, which was an eternal dumpster fire in permanent positional rotation, has hardly given up shit in a straight month.
The Defense is mainly cobbled together from guys found in a Home Depot parking lot, but Jabrill Peppers is playing in a way that shows that the Odell Beckham trade was a good deal after all and Leonard Williams is finally after years of folks screaming about how he was overpaid for twice, is proving the haters wrong.
I don't have any illusions of my guys pulling off a Superbowl run. Kansas City and Pitt both look pretty unstoppable and this team is not the 2007 Juggernaut killer, but I feel good about the future, the case is made about how awful the loss of the preseason was for this young team headed in the right direction, and my biggest concern is other teams trying to steal Patrick Graham as a Head Coach.
