NFL 2021

Sounds like the Niners last year. I am really hoping we can stay healthy this year. At least we may have a decent backup QB.

The Niners seem really well poised to be competitive this year I think.

Now now, you can't make excuses during preseason. At least wait until you're looking up at the Lions.

:laughing What excuses you talking about, Son? Injuries are never an excuse. Your team is either good or it isn't. What did we tell you about huffing paint thinner before you get on the internet?

Those of us rooting for them are so afraid of somebody getting hurt that our collectives breaths are kind of being held and we are swallowing our expectations.

. But on paper and from watching, they have a lot of talent, especially on defense. I think those guys shall be dining well very soon. I am concerned about the center position on O.. I was surprised they waived Sudfield given Jimmy's propensity to get hurt and the fact that Trey is actually a bit hurt right now. I am still trying to figure out if J (I forgot his full name) Hasty can do his thing in real games. That kid was exciting as hell but pretty little.

I had to miss pre-season game with Raiders but I am dying to see Mostert run again in real time.

MY GUYS WIN!!

I think this might be the year the lions go negative wins..... :teeth

:laughing Those Poor Bastards. I think they have not won a Championship since the '50's.

2 caveats

1 - JG stays healthy

2 - the rest of the team stays healthy

Save for those 2 things, it's a better/deeper team than the 19/20 team that went to the Owl and only lost because they didn't wanna call holding

Well, I mean, sure, but being well poised is certainly not a promise of success. That can change at any point in time. If the Defensive Coordinator is killed in a Bus Wreck in week 2, that might also derail the whole team, but still they seem well poised right now to come out very competitive and maybe even make a playoff run.

That would be a pretty big step away from being in the 6-10 Class last year.

Nice to see Fred Warner getting the recognition he deserves. Dude's a beast.

Oh for sure, but that is known though, right? He signed that big ass contract like 2 months ago didn't he?

Some breaking news in Dallas this morning......

Dallas Morning News - A 15 year old boy was at the center of a Dallas County courtroom drama yesterday when he challenged a court ruling over who should have custody of him. The boy has a history of being beaten by his parents and the judge initially awarded custody to his aunt, in keeping with child custody law and regulation requiring that family unity be maintained to the highest degree possible. The boy surprised the court when he proclaimed that his aunt beat him more than his parents and he adamantly refused to live with her. When the judge then suggested that he live with his grandparents, the boy cried and said that they also beat him. After considering the remainder of the immediate family and learning that domestic violence was apparently a way of life among them, the judge took the unprecedented step of allowing the boy to propose who should have custody of him. After two recesses to check legal references and confer with the child welfare officials, the judge granted temporary custody to the Dallas Cowboys, whom the boy firmly believes are not capable of beating anyone.

Stole this from another site and thought I would give the NFL thread a needed boost.. Would work for any team if you need it to troll your friends. :rofl

:laughing We'll see how they do with Dak back on the field this year, probably still terrible though.

All indicators seem to point to Washington continuing to lead a terrible Division this year with Philly living in the basement trying hard to be the worst team in the NFL. Cowgirls and Blue will both be slugging it out for 2nd place and trying really hard to break for a .500 Season.

I am deeply disappointed with most of the content of that game, however the end result was satisfactory.

Wow, I believed the pundits that the cowboys would get blown out, but that didn’t happen. Dak looked good. Opening night of the NFL:thumbup

In a better world, the score would have been 52-0. Tampa's D needs to get up offa that thang.

Dak definitely brings the Cowboys up to higher level... they don't play a team with a winning record last year til November?!? :wow

The gotta get Elliott back in the game plan, though.

I just watched a slo mo on the CBs elbow injury and damn that looks horrible. I watched some of the first half and was surprised at how competitive it was and am not totally shocked at how close the final score was at the end.

I really believe Gronk has to be the best tight end ever. Dude can catch and block which is not something all tight ends can do well most are either one or the other.

I still remember the year he was drafted I had read an article by Bill Simmons who is a Boston homer and he mentioned how good he would be that year. I picked him up off waivers for $1 in my fantasy league and he just wrecked it for me way better than the TE I drafted.
