NFL 2021

I think the mistake all along is that Jimmy should have played a quarterback in the teevee or movie story rather than be the actual guy.

LOL, the dude wins when he is on the field, but you just can't train durability I guess. T-Lance seemed to do OK, I would not be surprised if the Niners O bounced back with a little spice next week under the new kid for a full game.

You get a bit of a problem when the Starter and the Back Up have such wildly different playing styles and the game plan has to adjust to the skill set on the field.

I know. Of what I saw of first half (I missed a bit), even when he made mistakes, Jimmy G was more confident in the position and I felt he would have probably won the game just because the momentum was on his side. Then he gets hurt, Lance comes in and despite the brilliant longer pass, just gets knocked around and next thing you know, the "old" Seattle formula comes into play. That spec teams play sure didn't help.

I actually like Jimmy and thought maybe he had reached a kind of pro evenness for this year. But he gets hurt and we are back to square one of scrambling around, accommodating the different play style.

I hope he (Lance) goes from ugly duckling to beautiful swan but I'm waiting for that to happen for your Daniel Jones, too. Haven't gotten to watch him play lately so I don't know if he's improving or not.

Jimmy was unreal the first drive and so was the defense.

Apparently that is when he got hurt though.

I had said that if they didn't feel confident he was going to stay healthy that was the only real justification to move on. Sounds like he will miss a couple weeks, so Trey is the guy for at least a few games.

This fucking guy, I tell you. Every time he is over, he is reborn. I thought after 2 bad beatings, he would bounce back against a bad Atlanta team and so I started him instead of Matt Stafford on my Fantasy team. He got murdered. Then I give up on DJ and start Stafford again the whole Giants Offense goes fucking Nuclear against a much better New Orleans Defense.

I will tell you straight up I do not believe in Jason Garrett as an OC. I think between his play calling and the bad O-Line building we continue to suffer from, the poor Kid is going to be thrown out with the Trash at the end of the Year in addition to the GM, Dave Gettleman.

I still think the kid can ball like crazy if you give him a team, but we have 2 1st round picks next year, so I suspect there will be a call for bread and circuses so a new guy will be Drafted to take over.

If Saquon can't stay healthy he will also be gone, but he blew the fuck up Sunday too, so we shall see.

Jason Garrett, the guy who was Cowboys coach? no, no, no,. Spoiled merch. Just like most of the guys who could barely crawl out from under "Mr. Davis'" ballsack, Jerrah retreads, no, no, no.

Hey, here's hoping Jones does get in a position where he ends up the surprise mid-career guy somewhere where he's cared for.

Yeah, that is our OC for the second year. I am not sure if Joe Judge (who I like) brought him in, or if that was a Gettleman decision, but i think they decided to let him try a 2nd year just to give DJ some stability, because they last round of coaches went by so fast.

I mean, it could be that after a slow start with the shit preseason with short schedule and more than half the starters injured, this win gives these guys a spark and Blue could still be an improved 8 win team by the end of the season, especially if The Savior is going to stay healthy and act like he did Sunday, but I think the odds lay in a different direction. Quite frankly with some of the trades they made and picking up the 2nd 1st rounder next year, it seems to me like they were planning for '22 to be the year they really turned the tide after spending all of 2020 cleaning house on dead cap space and bad contracts.

We shall see.

At least I can count on the Jags, Jets, and the Lions to continue to be worse than us, LOL.

MNF: ugh.

The lightning was definitely an omen..

The Raiders mostly looking pretty good, Herbie was OK, but not great didn't make any big mistakes, but Austin Ekeler put his foot all the way in they ass.

That Dude was fuckin' balling out. What did he have like 10 yards per carry or something gross like that?

Vegas didn't look terrible, made some nice plays, but when a dude is trampling you that hard, it is tough to pull a W.

3rd Qtr was the high point for the Raiders.

Raiders couldn't get the run game going. Gruden's insistence on pounding the football is the team's Achilles heal IMO.

But, I guess the run game does open up the pass at the right moments. But when 3rd and 9 happens way too often and early in the game, yeah, you are going to have to pass.

Raiders took 2 fukn quarters to warmup and by then the game was out of reach going into the 4th.

They showed up for 3rd quarter and that was all.

Tbh Carr needs the run game to be a staple to the offense, I don't think his vision or scramble ability are good enough, he needs play action to succeed

Their QB looks on point.

The secondary made some outstanding passD too. I mean perfectly timed and not the usual mugging all the way thru the route either. Their D is pretty solid front to back from what I saw. It was a divisional opponent and the Raiders had been solid thru 3 games.

The Chargers looked really good. Hopefully for them, beating the Raiders in their building will help their fans show up a bit...kind of embarrassing.

Herbert got knocked around, which I think threw off his timing because he started missing quite a few passes. Those 4th down converts to Cook were backbreakers. Ekeler is going to be a problem for a lot of teams. And, Bosa was right to be pissed on the play he got a UC for, lol...the hold on him was crazy obvious. He was about to have a free shot on Carr without it.

Last year without Gus Bradley's system and a few new pieces, that would have been a 52-7 soul-killing thumping.

IMO the running attack wasn't necessarily a bad idea, to keep the ball out of Herbert's hands. But that o-line is banged up and young. I wonder if the blocking scheme is simplistic because of this, which the Chargers had no problem destroying. Without Jacobs at 100%, they are stuck being one-dimensional if they want a chance to win.

I wonder what happened to Kenyon Drake? He played well-ish in the first game, but hasn't really been utilized since. Maybe his blocking isn't good.

I mean, run defense was trash that game. They gave up almost 8 yards per attempt to the RB1. I saw good D, they made some good plays, but I wouldn't call it solid front to back. Giving up that much per carry will kill your game every time.

Right now looks like Vegas is one of the worst rush defenses in the league 4 games in. Only the Cards, Chiefs, and Chargers are worse than their 4.9 yards per carry allowed.

Pats releasing Stephon Gilmore instead of paying him.

Huh.
