NFL 2021

Yesterday was 13th anniversary of Mr. Davis firing Lane Kiffin with an overhead projector press conference. They played the sound on the radio. It was just frickin hilarious...

I heard that replay on 95.7...man I forgot how high Al was on Jamarcus. To be fair, many were calling him as the correct #1 pick (the radio guys got that wrong). But, damn, the guy clearly did not want to do any sort of work.

wasn't a good look then, and now. That presser was the perfect summation of all the blights Al left on his legacy before he died. RIP Al...but you shoulda stepped down years before.

I think we're watching an Al redux with Jerry Jones and whichever Mara is running the NYG... :laughing

God bless the NFC East.

JaCarcass was good for one solid win, and it was the win that got Gruden fired from TB. :laughing

Oh wait...

Well apparently Garoppolo did a Garoppolo and hurt his calf. Wonder how long he will be out and will Lance do a Kaepernick and get him out of the starting job. Stay tuned next week for the 49er's quarterback carousel. :rofl

You must not have watched.

Lance is not ready.

Lance definitely wasn't ready to get thrown into that game plan today.

I had a two team parlay today- both the Jets and Giants on the moneylines and both in OT. Yeah no I didn't.

Lance is not ready.

Didn't figure he was but he could have a week to prepare and then it may be a different ballgame. Not going to say he is the second coming but may get to see what he is capable of......

Also Pats-Bucs was a crazy game. Brady's ass was saved by shitty conditions and a boing off the upright. Mac Jones seemed to be playing with some poise in the game and if he keeps it up may do well in the NFL.

I kept thinking: we have one QB who can make short passes but not long and another who can make long but not short. One can't run much, the other can but so far hasn't gotten elusive though very fast.

There is no way to tell if Lance just has rookie yips or will never think on his feet without living through more uneven play. There is no way to know if he will ever stop throwing the ball too hard. Elway managed to make it work, his guys got used to hurty hands every Monday morning.

After that first half, I thought the Seattle curse was lifted but it was back to watching the hateable Carroll gloat and preen. I hate losing to them more than anyone else by now. And thing is, Russell Wilson is basically who Lance needs to be so its more salt in the wound.

I think another frustration is the feeling that with Shanahan's scheme, it might suddenly turn on like a light switch and work very well. It's a hint of glory but most often foiled.

Bring on the Warriors asap. I need some relief. And well, the Giants are certainly helping for us local yokels.

Back to football:

The Midget has the Cards the last undefeated team in the NFC, how's that happen?

The NY team won yesterday, and I'm talking about the Bills...

Both NJ teams won, does anyone care?

Remind me, why is Winston starting for the Saints over Hill?

Dre and Snoop doing the Superb Owl halftime show. First time I’ve ever been excited for a halftime show.

It's not NJ, it is pronounced, "Joyzee." :laughing

Old time QBs must shake their heads at this one as many played injured.

Garoppolo has begun the season as a starting quarterback five times in his career and has now gotten hurt before the end of the fourth game in four of those.

I think the mistake all along is that Jimmy should have played a quarterback in the teevee or movie story rather than be the actual guy.
