NFL 2021

The Chargers looked really good. Hopefully for them, beating the Raiders in their building will help their fans show up a bit...kind of embarrassing.

:laughing
There’s a hot take for ya!

I mean, run defense was trash that game. They gave up almost 8 yards per attempt to the RB1. I saw good D, they made some good plays, but I wouldn't call it solid front to back. Giving up that much per carry will kill your game every time.

Right now looks like Vegas is one of the worst rush defenses in the league 4 games in. Only the Cards, Chiefs, and Chargers are worse than their 4.9 yards per carry allowed.

Why do I get the feeling we’re talking about different teams?

My bad, I was talking about Vegas, we're you talking about L.A.?

Yeah, they did look pretty good, I didn't see any obvious holes in any of their play that game. Herbie was efficient, not spectacular, put up points, and didn't make any mistakes, despite being up against a Vegas D that played pretty solid pass defense.

Not sure if I am ready to call them as a real Playoff Dynamo this year, but they looked good.

Hopes dashed...

Going to Carolina, huh? Hope it works out for them.

I expect he will go there for a huge contract, flame out quickly, return to Pats with bags full of gold, sign for $2 and win a SB with fucking Boston.

I thought they released him and then all of a sudden there is a trade? So if the Patriots release someone they can then trade them?

Depends on the terms of the contract and release. Carolina probably threw the 6th rounder to get access to dudes existing contract so he cannot force a renegotiation at signing.

I’d like to know why the 9ers, who desperately need help on the corners, didn’t make a push to pick him up?

We could have offered JG in trade? “We’ll throw in this slightly used tissue paper to sweeten the deal. Decent ball player as long as no one so much as looks at him sideways.”

Do they have the cap room? Broski has like $40m guaranteed in his deal right now.

Gilmore is still unable to play for 3 more weeks and wants to double his salary, which is the whole reason NE was going to let him go.

He's also on the wrong side of 30 and giving him a big ass extension would have made it even harder to keep both Bosa and Deebo, who both need to be signed to extensions next year.
