Ha, I can’t figure out why former Cowboys are the way they are. It’s like those USC guys and their goddam rings. They always wear their tenure on their chests and rah-rah for America’s team. I keep thinking Jerry Jones has pictures in a safe or something. Yes, Dallas was very good to Tony but he was a great talent who earned his glory. He just should NOT be calling Dallas games period. Shoulda covered the Bills or something. Because he actually can be fun to listen to, but not yesterday.

^ Dude, it's the worst. Aikman was insufferable during a cowboys game too. NFL broadcasting is garbage.

That's why I watched the Nickelodeon broadcast.

Aikman or Romo calling Niner games is a fucking joke.

I don't know, I hate Dallas more than most people, but I just wasn't mad at Romo yesterday. :dunno

Aikman wasn't happy he had to call the Eagles/Bucs game...

Michael Irvin is the one I can't stand, and it is fun to watch him "eat crow". :laughing

... and don't get me started on Skip Bayless. Haven't watched him since he left ESPN.

That's funny I heard him being a whiny bitch about it on the broadcast.

I don't really listen that much to the announcers but in the beginning it sounded like Romo was more on the Niners side than the Cowboys which at the time I thought was weird.

:dunno

Weird schedule...

Usually Fox carries the NFC games, and they went with Eagles/Bucs, as the Bucs are the defending champs.

CBS usually carries AFC games, but NBC had the one AFC game on Sunday for their SNF broadcast.

Outside of cowboy games I really don't mind Romo at all. He's better than most. During a cowboy game he's just cheerleading.

Team loyalty. Nothing wrong with it.

As a track coach, all of my former athletes are still my 'kids' and always will be.

I'd have less respect for former players who badmouth their former teams.

Won't even hit 23 degrees next Saturday in Green Bay.

Too cold for SF to have a chance, especially with two key defenders likely missing?

We've seen this story plenty of times before and I don't recall it ever ending well for SF. :laughing

Home field advantage, indeed.

Harbs and Kap did okay in the cold up there in 2014... :dunno

Couldn't find a good link but this guy says SF is the second worst cold weather team since 2000 behind the Vikings who play in a dome.

3-9 in games since 2000 below 40 degrees.

The counter point is an article in Sports Illustrated from 2012.

After studying data from every NFL game from every season since 1985 -- more than 6,000 games -- and matching the results to the outside temperature, wind, rain and snow conditions, we've found that cold-weather teams are no more likely to win at home when the weather is brutally cold.

Nor are warm-weather teams more likely to win at home when the temperature is ruthlessly hot. And, the home winning percentages for dome teams immune from extreme weather conditions -- our placebo test -- do not vary with the weather any more than they do for cold- and tropical-weather teams.

Here's an intriguing stat:

The Packers and 49ers have split four playoff games but Rodgers is 0-3 against his childhood favorite team in the postseason: 45-31 at San Francisco in 2012, 23-20 at Lambeau Field in 2013 and 37-20 at San Francisco in the 2019 NFC title game.

Personally, I will LMAO if Aaron tested positive this week.... :laughing

I didn't notice any cheer leading in that game, but I was working in the yard while I watched it, so maybe I missed something.
