NFL 2021

I thought it was Jimmy "Underthrow/Overthrow/Completely Miss" Garappolo? :laughing

Sure hope they can beat the Packers, though....

Y'all trash Grapp too much. He for sure has his moments of DERPasuarus Rex, but his Comp % for the year was excellent at 68.3 %, his QBR for the year was excellent at 98.7 and he just won in the playoffs for the 3rd time in 3 years.

His only real problem is that he is made of creepy paper. Apparently he injured his shoulder in the Cowgirls game, which is when his throws went to shit in the 2nd half. I reckon that makes the odds of winning in the Tundra not great, because he makes mistakes when he is hurt, but he has played pretty well this year.

^^ Those stats are misleading.

He threw for 20 TDs and 12 INTs

Aaron Rogers was 37 and 4

The top 10 QBs have 30+ TDs and 1000+ more yards. Jimmy was 3800. Tom Brady threw for 5300. Most QBs are in the 4200+ range. Niners also lead league in yards after catch WITCH goes on Jimmy G's stats. He tosses the ball 5 yards and Kittle runs for 70, Jimmy gets a 75 yard pass.

Jimmy isn't an accurate QB and his defense and run game often save him.

And that is the conundrum of Jimmy Crappolo. He plays just good enough to keep stats up but he can kill a drive or game with one play. He has a knack for doing the wrong thing at exactly the wrong time to kill us. Don't know why his stats don't show it. Maybe when he makes that one horrible play they run more so it hides it somehow I don't know but I don't trust him at all.

On the lighter side Seattle is throwing the defense under the bus and firing everyone on that side of the ball.

It really cracks me up to see the stupid Jimmy shit talk.

Like, do you fucking people not remember Nick Mullens? Tim Rattay? Ken fucking Dorsey? Shaun Hill? Troy Smith?

FFS these are the fickle ass fans that booed Alex Smith and chanted they wanted David fucking Carr to replace him.

Jimmy is a top half of the league QB. He's elite on 3rd downs. He's already made it to an Owl, and for those who didn't watch or don't remember or just listen to bullshit ESPN Hot Takes, he outplayed Mahomes for 3+ quarters until he was concussed. If he stopped getting injuries they wouldn't have drafted Lance, but at this point they're moving on because he can't stay on the field enough -- and it's not the same thing over and over. It's an ACL, then it's a high ankle sprain, then it's a shoulder, then it's a thumb, etc. So I understand moving on. I also hate the though that he goes to, like, Pittsburgh or Denver and miraculously stays healthy until he's 37 lol.

THAT BEING SAID.

Green Bay is rated very, very poorly against the run. It's going to be absolutely fucking freezing, too. Jimmy's health aside, this is going to be an Elijah Mitchell, Deebo, JuiceCheck, and Kittle game. Lots of runs, chew up the clock, and keep the ball out of kAArons hands.

Not what this fan was expecting. :laughing

Elite??? :laughing

I stopped reading at Elite :laughing

Jimmy lovers tout his winning percentage BUT forget that Bosa and a top defense were established at the same time as Jimmy. If it weren't for Bosa, Niners would not have been in the Superbowl vs the Chiefs.

Jimmy is 17th according to ESPN and has a 52 QBR. He's exactly in the middle of the league, not in the top 10 at all. He's a more expensive Trent Dilfer.

Yes. Clearly you stopped reading. Halfway through the sentence.

Since Jimmy got to SF in 2017 the only QB that's been better on 3rd/4th downs is Mahomes.

This season, he's #2 behind Kyler.

and his QBR is 13th in the league. I guess you have trouble reading, cause I said he was top half of the league... there are 31 qualified QBs, so I had to get my calculator out but #13 is.. .the top half of that.

:rolleyes

oh wait

:laughing

Thank you for proving my point though.

Jimmy g is not a top 10 QB, let's just get this straight.

You can say this and that but top 10 QB don't make the mistakes he makes.

He went to the bowl yes, but tbh I don't think hc or oc have enough faith in him to actually audible out of plays and call anything he chooses, it's setup this is the play and these are your audibles and finally these are your super escape audibles.

It ain't like a Peyton who has full command of every single play and can change each receivers routes via audibles

This is the shit that gets on my nerves.

"HE IS TRASH BECAUSE IS NOT ONE OF THE LIKE 5 BEST PLAYERS TO EVER PLAY THE POSITION."

That is just crazy town to me, and thanks to MikeV for bringing up Alex Smith, who if he had stayed behind center, the Niners would already be polishing their 2012 Lombardi Trophy to go with those other ones, instead of being a bunch of fucking nobodies for the last 25 years.

Grapp may not be HoF material, but before he came around, that team just wasn't shit.

Take it from a dude whose team was winning championships 10 years ago and is in the fucking toilet now, y'all are winning real football games right now and should be grateful, putting a little more respeck on his name.

I wish I had the kind of problems y'all have right now.

Dood you got a hard on for Jimmy g, he's not good, if he did patriots woulda kept him, you know the guy whose won more bowls then any other coach.

If he was good we would not have lost the lead in the bowl.

If he was good the NFL would be saying it is not crazy for 9ers to keep jimmy g.

If he was good we wouldn't be having this he said she said whose better QB, all I view is coaching staff can't trust him week in week out but your like stats!!!!!

Pssst, he, a giants fan…have you seen their QB?

They kept Brady instead. Tough choice isn't it.

He doesn't play defense.

It's a salary cap league. A QB on a rookie contract is the most valuable asset in the NFL when it comes to building a team. Letting Lance take over next year and spreading Jimmy's salary cap $$ around to guys who need new contracts like Deebo and Bosa is smart.

This is, like, barely English. The coaching staff obvious trusts him or else he wouldn't be playing. I don't know why this is so hard to understand.

Lol the coaching staff does not trust him, it's gonna be 2 organizations now that move on from him if the 9ers don't win the bowl and keep jimmy g. If there was any trust he wouldn't operate the offense the way he does. You should hear some of the coaching snippets after games. He started, ok big whoopity doo da he is known to be hot and then cold..... Not my words but just kinda known from all the other NFL organizations.

And they lost the bowl because offense went stale, you couldn't get any first downs to kill the clock, if you wanna blame defense that's only 50% of the story, you know -give your entire defensive squad more then 2min of rest before heading back out to the field with a mountain of momentum going against you. I recalled they couldn't move the ball, the same runs were being called yet Jimmy couldn't understand the d to audible out or change the run etc. In my eyes no real improvement for his overall QB iq from then to now.

:laughing I do hear them. During the game, too.

But what do I know.

I think jimmy has done enough to know that he can beat Green Bay this weekend. Let's see if he does! good luck to him.

No dude, I'm fucking annoyed that people cannot see, that while he is not HoF material, he's not that bad either. You simply do not need a HoF worthy QB to win a Championship, and a "pretty good dude," is plenty good enough. Just ask Nick Foles or the Ghost of Peyton Manning that showed up to perform terribly at QB in 2015 :dunno

I thought I read the Giants were getting ready to move on from Jones, but they're options are limited in the draft and no cap space for a free agent (Mariota is a consideration)....

Nah, it makes zero sense. What, pick another top 5 guy so he can get murdered behind this trash O-Line?

Jones has one year left on his rookie deal before we have to consider the 5th year option. We are drowning in sexy draft picks this year.

All the smart money says DJ gets one more year, we invest hard in both sides of the Line. We need another top flight Tackle to bookend with Andrew Thomas, who seems like the real deal.

I reckon we use one of our 1st round picks on that guy, then focus on DE, DT, and Linebacker through the 3rd round.

DJ gets one more year to prove it. I think everyone was a lot more ready to abandon him when this was a 6-7 win team while he was throwing.

How shockingly bad the Giants are became far more apparent for the 6 games straight we lost once he was hurt and no longer elevating the team. The kid could be a real deal baller with a decent supporting cast and some coaching worth a damn.
