Older TV shows

If you want to talk about really ancient TV shows from before the beginning of time, I would say check out Band of Brothers, Firefly, and The Mighty Boosh.

People talmbout shows from the 70's and 80's and you're bringing up 2002 like it's tv land that time forgot. :laughing

Unless you were there for the first episode of 'My Mother the Car', none of you guys have gravitas.

How about when Mister Ed met Clint Eastwood?

Oh man, remember the remote controls that actually made the dial on the tv rotate to change channels? Had a couple or three buttons to choose from and then MAGIC. :rofl

If you're in a bar and someone born after the premiere of band of brothers is drinking legally, you are in Europe.

No, Dude, Band of Brothers was 2001. We are in 2022. They 21 now. They say the mind is the first thing to go...

:laughing

Some of them were bringing up shows from the 50's and 60's (Twilight Zone, etc), LOL. The point is more that when a bunch of old fuckers get together in a room of similarly aged people, they sometimes forget they are old fuckers as they discuss from the shared perspective of a chronological peer group.

I'm here making sure no one forgets how fucking old we are now so we all manage our value to society appropriately.

We are the grumpy old curmudgeons now, and that should be kept in mind as people think about how relevant their opinions are. The more time goes on, the more our perspective on life becomes irrelevant.

No way, too fancy. That's what my dad had kids for. :laughing

remote?? when I was 5 we had a tv with no remotes. 5 channels, complete with a dial that does the UHF VHF thing. It was a color TV too, how fancy :laughing

I remember our first color TV - way back in 1958. If it ever got moved Dad had to go through the trouble of degaussing it! The only time we were allowed to watch it was for Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color!

First episode aired in September of 2001. If you are drinking with someone who was born after that show aired, you'd better have a good lawyer, because you are contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Iono man, black and white is about the best reminder there is. If you remember the transition to color, it's highly doubtful you're under the impression you're young. :laughing

How 'bout watching scrambled softcore pr0n with the occasional tittie showing up clear as day. :rofl :party

Someone should make a site or app that just picks random pornhub content and scrambles the video like that. That or maybe that would make for a great screensaver.

Dude, the transition to color happened in the 1950's. if you remember that, how are you even still alive? :laughing

Now that Golden Age if Skinemax, THAT WAS ENTERTAINMENT!!! :laughing

LOL, my bad, i couldn't remember what month it was released over 20 years ago.

How about, "ask someone who was born after production was completed, but before distribution."

Does that work? :laughing
