Older TV shows

all y'all whipper snappers being spoiled with the moving pictures!! when I was a kid we all sat around the radio in the family room and had to use our imagination!! and walk uphill both ways in the snow to the living room in our house :afm199 :laughing

Dear sir,

When you and your school kin were inventing rocks, can you tell us why you chose the colors you did and why there aren't more colors of dirt?

busy inventing the wheel yo, no time for colors

OMG, you were alive in black and white times before they had color on earth?

Kinda went down fast after Kricfalusi was (rightfully) fired during the 2nd season... :dunno

Season 1 was gold, though. Working in Burl Ives' speech from "The Big Country" when he had to kill his sleazy son (Chuck Connors) in the "Happy happy joy joy" song was perfect!

Dude, the transition to color happened in the 1950's. if you remember that, how are you even still alive? :laughing

No, it started in the early 50's. The transition itself took a quite a few years to manifest. Black and white wasn't phased out until the mid-to-late 60's...and there still were LOTS of b&w productions that were in regular rotation.

60's to 70's is when when color television became the norm. :dunno

That movie is so good. I absolutely love the example he sets for proper masculinity.

Yep, my family had a black and white TV until I was 10.

When I was 8. I visited a friend that was third world level poor-whose family was living in a hut. That's when I saw a color TV for the first time and my mind was blown: :wow

Now that Golden Age if Skinemax, THAT WAS ENTERTAINMENT!!! :laughing

LOL, my bad, i couldn't remember what month it was released over 20 years ago.

How about, "ask someone who was born after production was completed, but before distribution."

Does that work? :laughing

I watched the original Mickey Mouse Club in B&W when it premiered.

How an I even alive? Srsly? Dood, i have extracted more joy from life, had glorious experiences, been bedded by high quality women, married one, taken fantasy motorcycle rides on the best roads on Earth and am still adding to my want list. THAT'S why I'm still alive.

TBH, I don't believe you have begun to live yet. If you ain't livin', then yer dying!

have never been inspired to, but this has aroused my curiosity. no clue though what’s worth watching. most television is total shit. is older stuff better?

Some older stuff is gold!

Start with these:

Taxi

3rd Rock from the Sun

Soap

OMG you're young, ackk

I'd like to see Cleese as the classic BBC announcer and Lithgow as assistant at an electric motorcycle race where Cleese makes Lithgow make ICE noise for electric motorcycles.

I don't understand. You are in Florida. CA has explained to me that place is a never ending horrorscape where every moments respite is replaced by the relentless torments of FLORIDA MAN.

A few more dribbled out from my fuzzy memory,

77 Sunset Strip
Sgt. Bilko
Car 54

And the one I can't quite pin down,
starring Spring Boyanton (sp) and Henry Morgan, maybe some kind of sit/com about a boarding house, with Maxwell House coffee for the sponsor
