Moab on my mind
How do I invest in a merchant? Are there caravans like Ysolda mentions? She's all talk but no bizness.
On the way to retrieve the horn I stumbled upon a dragon's nest, from above. I couldn't resist. Sneak shot with dwarven arrow, then let it pound on Lydia while I plinked until Lydia took a knee. Got behind a tree to avoid the frost breath, took a pot shot, repeated until dead. Good ore and decent treasure around there.
I fully furnished my Whiterun home to use different chests/dressers/cupboards to categorize stuff. An on-screen message during a load screen said if you store loot in your home it's safe but if you store it elsewhere you may lose it. Oblivion was absolutely that way.
It's kind of fun playing Goldilocks with Lydia and equipment. You give her stuff and see what she equips. No, no, no, just right. I think a companion will equip a two-handed weapon if it does higher damage than his/her current weapon, regardless of his/her two-handed skill.
Damn it's expensive buying ore and ingots to improve equipment before selling, but it gets my smith skill up. Really bad ROI though. No problem making leather, I always have a lot of hides.
Currently stuck in the dungeon of the horn quest, where you activate the three tombstone things to open the gates. Clearly you have to use your shout to rush the gates but it's not working. What's the trick? I tried standing my companion to hold a tombstone so I could get closer.

That is really annoying. I just tell Lydia to go hang out further back in the dungeon so I can snipe. I can always run back to her if I need backup..
