Skyrim

PC version is all screwed up. Some patch came out today where tons of people reporting game crashing constantly, multiple times an hour. Hopefully they fix this asap...

Hmmm... had my first lock up today, I'm not sure if it would have fixed itself in time, but I got impatient and it's by beddy bye time. At least it locked up during an awesome throat shot to a necromancer...

And wtf with the dwemer ruins?! The game really needs some porters that you can hire to haul all of that heavy shit away for ya.... I actually wonder why I bother picking it up, I've over 100 dwarven metal bars sitting around and 40k in cash... :rolleyes

Why does every town inhabitant I see tell me I look sickly?

I look closely at my avatar he looks no different than when I started, I get lots of sleep, and I eat lots of veggies and fruits so I don't know whats going on...

go to the magic menu and scroll down to active effects.. you will see what disease you have (in red text).. That or your character is just plain fugly..

yea its a reminder that you have some sort of disease. either buy a cure disease potion, or visit any random temple and activate one of the shrines. any of the 9 gods will do...

and dont bother picking up any of the dwemer crap, except for maybe the weapons and ingots (if you do smithing). anything else dwemer is a waste of space

Not quite. The following dwemer items can be smelted in the smelter to make dwemer ingots:
  • Bent Dwemer Scrap Metal
  • Large Dwemer Plate Metal
  • Small Dwemer Plate Metal
  • Solid Dwemer Metal
  • Large Dwemer Strut
  • Large Decorative Dwemer Strut

Fun little lore fact, I read somewhere in-game that the dwemer were supposed to actually be a race of elves, even though they get labeled as Dwarves :cool

Makes sense when you lay it out:

Dark Elf: Dunmer
High Elf: Altmer
Deep Elf: Dwemer

made it out of the sanctuary! Woot!

All I got was some training on healing :|

It's killing me reading this thread but I can't stop. :cry

Oh well, at least Nehrim released a new patch expanding the main quest and adding more gameplay to tide me over for awhile.

WTF are cheese wheels good for

Food is largely a waste of time/space in this game unless you really want to get into the RPG aspects of it.

With one key exception. Elsweyr Fondue.

1 Moon Sugar + 1 Eidar Cheese Wheel = 1 Elsweyr Fondue

+100 Fortify Magicka, +25% Magicka Regen, lasts 12 minutes.

Handy for spell casters.

Had to quit last night because I pissed off a whole town and must've killed about 50 guards. Didn't know if I should keep going or reload and make different decisions. I didn't want to be locked out of that town forever.

Looks like I ran into a couple of bugs. I was exploring/killing bandits at Stony Creek Cave and found something called Finn's Lute. Grabbed it just in case and now I've been stuck with the 4 weight penalty for the last 4 days. I looked it up on Wikia and found the quest source, so I went there to talk to her and see if I can get rid of the fricking lute and she doesn't give any prompts for the quest. Fail.

There's another one in Solitude where I was supposed to talk a lady into going back to church. Talked her into it and I still have the quest active in my log.

hm you'll have to do the bards guild main quest first. after you finish it, you get a few misc quests to find missing instruments

So after hearing about the vampires I gave the game another shot. I won't get into how ass the game UI is or how badly the game was put together but I will say I am actually having fun.

I took a wood elf and basically took off from the main area to rain down terror on Skyrim. I have been killing and stealing my entire way through the game. The first place I went was to the vampire cave and slaughtered everyone there but I stopped along the way to make sure I killed everyone in my sight. After becoming a vampire I noticed my 2 handed weapon is a worthly of a god or myself! I also now have improved sneaking abilities which allow me to walk around in heavy armor and pretty much jump people with my wood elf specced bow. It's pretty awesome to jack someone, raise them from the dead and then send them on their family. Reminds me of Walking Dead! So far I am enjoying this game and the feeding this is pretty easy. I just find the local inn and feed like a kid in chocolate factory. Which reminds me of killer clowns from outter space!

I don't really know what the heck I am supposed to do in the game except walk around and kill everyone which is awesome in and of it's own. So far I give the game 3 star outta 5.

You and this game were not meant for each other. Probably best if you walk away now and save yourself some time.

Why does winterhold get attacked by dragons so much? Everytime I fast travel it get attacked.

FYI if your game won't lauch for the PC, start steam in offline mode. The game will load up fine. They patched something in steam in the last day or so that fucked up an online launch.
