Poisons go on your bow.

And I had a bitch of a time with some wispmother who kept dodging my arrows....then she'd root me in place so i couldn't chase her down. So frustrating!

I still haven't found any dragons yet, but have plenty of 'words/shouts'.

I wonder if i have to do the first dragon quest before they start showing up?
I'm lvl 27 btw, and there isn't anything that gives my stealth/bow problems really..

Magic sits in a precarious balance. Sometimes it is really strong, sometimes it is weak. There are a few things you can do to combat it; it isn't hard to find potions that give you 40% Frost resistance, for example. There are also Resist Magic potions and necklaces. You can also strategize- pick off the mages first.

Other options: dodge the ice bolts :nchantr :laughing

Or, you can fight fire with fire. Learn some shocks spells. They drain the target's magika.

"Use" a poison as if it was a potion; it will ask if you want to put the poison on your weapon. Say yes, and the next shot will have poison. If your arrow misses though, you wasted the poison, so be accurate. For ingredients, you're better off working with what you have than looking for certain ingredients. If you eat an ingredient, you will learn the first effect. Once you know the first effect on all your ingredients, start brewing potions. You will learn more effects over time as you brew.
 
my dragonscale armor improved to legendary makes the game too easy. over 1000 armor rating total. now leveling up my 2h and heavy armor, just to get the level ups. at least it makes it a slight challenge, using gear i have no perk points in. just hit lvl 63...
 
alright, getting kinda irritated.

i did the whispering lady quest and got the ebony two handed blade. now it wants me to kill someone who trusts me.

so i went and killed my housecarl but the blade didn't change like the quest indicates. wtf gives? who 'trusts' me? whom do i have to kill?

i don't even use two handed weapons, just interested in getting my first unique one....

It means a follower, you know the ones that will come and fight with you.

Any if you hear info about dlc? I read it will be on 360moto 30 days before pc ir ps3. From the video if the guy showing males and tended areas we can travel to im thinking they will open up the oblivion map. I would think that would be the easiest thing. They said it wont be a small blvd like call out but more an expansion pack

i thought that my housecarl, Lydia, is a follower? although, she was at the house at the time and not actively following me....

anyone off hand tell me how that swords stats change so i can let it go? lol. lydia is expendable though. i don't like companions.

i've been thinking about re-rolling as a wood elf so i can tame animals. i kinda want a bear for a pet. i don't use night vision nearly as much as i thought i would. same with the claws.
 
the tame pet thing only lasts a little while. Once it wears off what ever it is it will then go back to trying to eat you. I know the orcs and high elfs have really good abilities where the orc for a short time does tons of damage. The high elfs high born refills your magic. from what my friend says when he uses it, it refills almost as fast as he can use it so he is able to dual cast a ton of spells if he is in a pinch. My night elf doesn't seem that effective. I just get a ring of fire around me and who ever comes in contact with it is on fire.
 
I pretty much blew off smithing until tonight. Wow, it makes a real difference. I gained a level and a half just making jewelry and crap. Upgraded my weapons and armor and holy crap, major upgrade. Smithing levels up fast too...
 
you can make better weapons then you can find in the game. I have two deadric daggers that do 54 damage each. With back stab its 15x damage and I got something from the brother hood that doubles it. So back stabs do 30x damage.
