There has to be some code that makes dragons show up at the most annoying times.

I had just gotten back to town with a full load of goodies; inventory maxed out, but it was night time so I couldn't sell them. I decided to sleep to pass the time.

... I guess it was the first time that I had slept since doing the quest that kicks off the Dark Brotherhood storyline, so instead of waking up in Whitehall I wake up in some cabin out in the middle of nowhere. I go through the little dialog and stuff, and everything is still good. I try to fast travel back to Whitehall. ... can't fast travel while an enemy is nearby ... WTF? There's nothing around here ...


... roar.... FFFfffuuuuuuu

So there I am with an inventory full of stuff, then overstuffed with dragon parts, WALKING back to town.

Yes, I could have dropped some of the inventory; but then the dragon would have lost the battle and won the war !!!!!
 
I've been rolling dragons left and right.....until I came across an Elder Dragon. CAn you say arse whooped? *sigh*
 
first time I saw an ancient dragon one step up from elders I ran out all leroy jenkins style and was promptly killed in 2 hits. Now I hide and take pot shots at them with my bow.

I was walking up to a dragon shine, looking around for dragons and shit, all clear. So I went sauntering up to the dragon wall like I owned the place and the dragon "statue" that was perched on top of the shrine started moving. Yea, not a fucking statue like I stupidly thought, just an Ancient Dragon chilling on top.

One frost blast and that shit just goes through my Dragon Scale armor like it's nothing. Went into inventory: Ultimate Healing, Necklace of Warmth (+70% Resist Frost), Elixir of Resist Frost, Lingering Damage Health, and the fight was on. Ended up using 3 more Ultimate Healing potions. Finally I bring the bastard down, so low on health I went walking up to it to collect my loot, and some freaking dead priest named Krosis comes back to life and starts blasting me. Dead. FUUUUUUU!!! I had been walking outdoors a long way so my last save was a ways back.
 
I did that fight. I ran behind the wall and krosis wouldn't follow me and got stuck on a rock. just pelted him with arrows till he died.
 
i'm just 36. I'm finally making my way to winterhold? Going to scoop up all the soul gems so i can max out enchanting.
 
I'm 52 right now.
Enchanting takes forever to build up. I'm to the point I still what ever I find boots daggers hats anything and enchant them to build up my enchanting.
 
any size gem but it needs a soul in it. I don't know if the size matters for how much exp you gain but the size effects the price and how many charges you get from it and its over all power. If you are going to keep it then do the biggest soul you have if you just are ranking up then try to only use petty soul gems.

Get Banish if you haven't already. That's the most expensive enchant and the more valuable the enchant is the faster your enchant levels up.
 
The only thing with banish I found was a staff. You can't disenchant staffs. I'll make my rounds to all the shops to look for anything of banishing. I found some strange enchantment called enchantment of the moon. where it does flame damage when ever the moons are out
 
Dammit. Found a bug.

In Riften trying to complete the Skooma Dealer side quest. I already went through the cavern where I'm supposed to disrupt the operation and it won't advance the quest forward.
 
Oh fuck, forgot I ran into a bug too. The Thieves guild quest when you get the book translated and you're supposed to meet Karliah at the ragged flagon. She just keeps looping her "Quickly, what is it?" dialogue and I can't advance past it. Argh!

And it appears I'm not the only one...

Games are far more complex than they used to be. Open world games like Skyrim are even more so when there's so much to do and millions of players go about doing things differently.

I can understand that.

Not releasing patches in a timely manner, or even just acknowledging that there's a bug, is what kills the game for me. Bethesda did pretty good patching things up in Fallout 3 so I have faith that they'll eventually get to it in Skyrim.
