Don't see how the feds can claim jurisdiction over weed sales as long as there's not interstate trafficking.

Federal law prohibits possession and sale. Controlled substance?
 
I'm not too worried about the impact the news had on these stocks, these are Canadian stocks and Canada plans on legalizing cannabis later this year.
 
i'm guessing there will be a federal raid in oakland at harborside cannabis dispensary at some point this year combined with a federal lawsuit against infringing bank / credit unions
 
Looking for some energy stocks, preferably lithium or cobalt. Any I should look into? Thought about Rio Tinto but too much. I was checking them out 2-3 years ago damnit.

They've caught my eye also. I might take a gamble but I want to first see the impact of the US federal law announcement. Those are Canadian producers but they were banking on exporting to California.

Yeah, but I think the Constitution gives the states this power in the case where it's all within a state (no interstate commerce).

It seems the Supreme Court decided otherwise and I think they got it wrong. Note the dissenting opinions there.

More Federal overreach. Where does it end?

Those are commodities.

BHP, Rio Tinto, or one of the ETF's. Beware the sometimes wacky tax rules on some of the funds.
 
I've done well with Social Core Index funds. Vanguard has treated me well...their dividends aren't great but the fund goes up and up.

Maybe take a look at US based firms with mass cash sitting overseas.

I'm waiting for the next pullback/recession and a massive kill among internet stocks that have large caps and no earnings.
