Tattoo removal...

Wow never realized how painful it was. You are all champions for getting them lasered off.

I have a tiny one on my back was painful but totally bearable. I'm sure I got it in one of the least painful places

How much does it cost? I have a really stupid and really visible tattoo I'd like to get removed. I'm afraid it will be tough as it started as a homemade tattoo, then was expanded, then was redone. So deep ink.

How much does a potato peeler cost? :p

Been wondering about the costs for a while myself. Good to see they are a bit better now as I have one is like removed or just redone a hell of a lot better than it currently is.
Hell a lot of it has gone away cause it wasn't done deep enough during original application, which is why I want it off or redone.

I'll check back in with a pic after my second session next month. I'm interested to see how many it's going to take.

Oh and hi Heather! Long time.

Yes it has been--I'm still e-stalking all you hosers on here though.

Good luck removing the ink! I'm now so glad that I didn't have any $ in college to get tatt's when all of my friends did. I'd probably be sporting a dolphin with hearts on my ankle or something. :laughing

Lucky.....

I had a quarter sized skull removed from my hand, cuz it sucked. I'm pretty sure I had seven or eight sessions, 1 month apart (this was about 10 yrs ago). I was supposed to go back for one more session, but it was almost gone by that point, and I had planned to have it re-done by a better artist (still haven't... but still might)

Yeah, it's not a pleasant experience.
Picture shows: before the 1st session; 1/2 way thru the 1st session; after the 3rd session; after the last session. They got it a little hot on the 3rd session!

i still don’t get it.

https://www.zmescience.com/science/biology/why-tattoos-are-permanent-0554/

When a tattoo needle punctures the skin, it rips through the epidermis, the outer layer of skin, and spills ink in the dermis, the inner layer of skin which is flooded with blood vessels and nerves. With each penetration, the immune system is alerted there’s a wound going on and immune system cells are sent to the site. Some of these are macrophages which gobble up the ink in an attempt to clean the area. What’s left of the ink becomes absorbed by skin cells called fibroblasts. Most of the fibroblasts and macrophages alike become suspended in the dermis where they’re locked permanently. The dye in both cells shows through the body which is why you can see your tattoo in the first place.

considering skin is the largest organ in our body, it horrifies me to think what it takes to undo the initial assault.

seems incongruous for someone who otherwise takes exceptional physical care of themself.

my :2cents

adore you, and only hope you give some thought to what you are doing to your body - and if it’s worth it.

I'd get a tattoo, but I can't think of anything original.

Lots off people have cool ink, but if I did the same thing, I would feel like I was copying.
