The Electric Motorcycle Thread

I used to hate Max Biaggi. He always seemed like he had a rod up his ass and was having beef with Rossi who I liked because he was a young spirited up an comer and made winning look good. I would cheer for anytime Biaggi would loose or fail, hated the guy, until I saw this:

It really put the guy in a whole new light to see him away from the pressures of performance and to see his smile and him helping people to ride. Also cool to see how he takes corners at a track I've been on.

I know Ty Tremaine and Lyndon Poskitt raced the Erzberg Rodeo on Altas. Unfortunately Lyndon's was stolen on the way there at a rest area so in the end they only raced on bike because they needed 2 batteries.

I would ride that endurocross course on the Light Bee =P on that track but not that those speed =P it's really good at the log stuff, those bikes sure take a beating.

Kymco makes it official.

That just looks like footage from last years press release o_O'

However I believe the Revonex does not look like vaporware it'll come out the question is where in the US can you buy it? I had a Kymco Mongoose 90 quad a while back and it was a great quad but I don't know anywhere you could buy one around me. Kymco also makes quads for other big name manufacturers and they just rebrand them.

Anyway the Revonex is probably the closest electric motorcycle to the Empulse TT to come out since the fall of the Empulse. I like that it has quickshifting because that's one of things I would love on the Empulse.

looks like dealers in europe are getting demo versions of the storm bee.

At least it can do some enduro woods stuff =P It would have been nice to see it on some trails but least it can climb steep hills that's one thing the Light Bee does not excel at. I guess that's all they got in Ukraine.

The battery is massive but at least you can remove it fairly easily.

Sur Ron hasn't mentioned anything about the Storm Bee much. They post some stuff on instagram sometimes, they can barely keep production of the Light Bee up.

Hope we get a price soon.

and if I read it right, it's an auto 6 speed without a clutch...

Yeah that's no so bad. I wouldn't want a clutch on my electric bike, there seems to be little purpose for it.

Specs are still unclear on it too. Personally I doubt we will be able to buy a Revonex before 2022 at the earliest. Depending on battery size and charging capabilities, it's appealing to me.

It was suppose to have a quick up and downshifter. I have a clutch on the empulse and the only thing I use it for is downshifting.

If anyone is interested in a slightly more powerful Sur Ron Light Bee Luna Cycle is having a Black Friday sale and released this limited edition Luna Ludicrous XX bike

Here's a pretty good Storm Bee video. I have to say Sur Ron did a good job with this bike. It's better than I thought it would be. The question is where can you buy in this neck of the woods and how much?

Would you recommend against the Light Bee if one is concerned about ergos?

I'm 5'10" 180lbs and I would say the light bee barely fits me to comfortably stand on it I needed to raise the handle bars. The storm bee is much larger so if you are someone larger than me it would fit you better. It's like comparing a minibike to a full size mx bike, however I haven't got a chance to sit on a Storm Bee.
