Assembling an electric trials bike. The OSET 24 is an interesting bike very comparable to the Sur Ron Light Bee. No seat though =P I drag raced a a kid riding one of the smaller ones at Hollister Hills haha.

did the brakes function? did anything feel weird or out of place? how was the power delivery? did it feel heavy? did the bike jerk you off while you rode? was there any thing you didn't like about it? or was it all sunshine and rainbows?

I just took it for a loop around the block, and yes, it is a proper sportbike. The power delivery is utterly different that my R6 with no additional boost with increasing rpm. This one had the power output turned down, so no scary shit. It felt about the same as my R6 in terms of weight.

That's pretty cool looks like its in the same class as the Light Bee. The Hybrid motorcycle/mtb class of bikes is definitely on the rise. Next thing we'll have 2WD hybrid bikes.

Says it is 47kg which is about 103lbs. That's lighter than the Light Bee.

Says 20km over rough terrain. that's about 12 miles. I can vouch the Light Bee can do about 20 miles on rough terrain.

BTW I raced an Alta Redshift MX with my Light Bee in the Sportman class during Supermoto USA Round 4 HAHA I got murdered. I didn't let him lap me though!

Same here I did a demo at Metcalf and I rode Butch's last year and it's a hoot. I wish it were a bit smaller but I guess I can't complain because Butch is shorter than me haha. I bought the Light Bee because it was cheaper like much cheaper but you can't even compare the two bikes.
 
It's also not the same category at all, but I really like the half mc/mtb options right now, especially for the diy'er with companies like Qulbix and Vector selling just the frames.
 
Whoa check this out the White Ghost is coming out soon! The White Ghost was a project that Sur Ron was working on building an electric street motorcycle. It looks like they've handed it off to Voge and it's nearly ready for production. The specs are actually really similar to the Light Bee. 60volts 6000watts. They're sayong $4800 prive tag that's about as much as the Light Bee!
