The Home Grower's Thread

I think I may have over-nutriented

I watered only water last night

Looks like salt buildup but overfertilizing could do it too. Get some flush stuff and flush, then go light on the nutes for a bit. They should never look like that.

So all the browning at this state is normal?

What week of flower is this? If you gave to much nutrients then just a flush with ph water should get you back on track. I cut nutes off 2 weeks before harvest and just feed ph water only. The browning isn't "normal" for say, this is you're second or first grow? My last grow started to get burn the last 1.5 weeks, but what I thought was burn turned into purplish and different colors haha.

Best thing I found is to flush and give a couple days of no nutes and then start light and work your ppms back up.

You do any type of compost tea? I have talked to a few people and they all said compost teas really help with bud structure

I started off with this huge kit of multiple nutes, and then switched to just "Grow" and "Bloom" with some added CalMag. People always say "Nitrogen problem" but I'm adding the recommended nutes and there's no "Nitrogen" nutrient.

I've switched to General Hydroponics Flora Grow, Bloom, Micro Combo Fertilize for the Cococoir and kept using the BioThrive Bloom on the soil ones.

No

It's not a nitrogen deficiency. Your nutes all have n in them. Grow more than bloom. That is overnutrification and possibly salt buildup from it. Too many people ty and chase n deficiencies when it isnt that at all.

ABCs plants look great. Overfertilizing is much more common than under.

Damn I kept chasing what I thought were deficiencies.. ended up being light burn and over feeding. I kept thinking it was one thing or another, didn't realize it was light burn until a vast majority of leaves started to curl and crisp up... it's all learning.. the more you fuck up the more you learn. Your plants look way better then mine did my first grow. I think I got about 1/2 oz from my first harvest haha. Last one was almost a pound. Cheap ppm and ph meters on amazon are the best for the price.

What strains are you doing?

2 of them are random seeds, two of them I got from a dispensary as clones...I said what they were on a previous page, I don't remember.

Lighter is always better when it comes to nutes. Also I agree that compost tea is awesome stuff. Jordan, get some compost tea and spray the leaves as well as adding to your solution.
