The Official 2015/2016 NFL Thread

NFL as we know it will be dead in 10 years at this rate

No idea, but with the guys calling it quits at young ages plus the older retired players that have serious issues, something is going to change at some point.

Guys aren't trading their life for football anymore. I get it.

I'm pretty sure Levi's Stadium was built on an ancient Indian burial mound.

I understand Willis retiring, he made millions and was smart and is set for life.

Borland I think earned a little over a million before taxes. His decision surprises me. What did he think after playing in college?

The NFL expects intelligent, thoughtful ambassadors of humanity to play a game of How Much Money Can You Make Before Your Body Is Fucked For Life. Eventually, the smart players would start catching on how much their body is worth.

I don't see the NFL going anywhere...but I can envision a loss of the really intelligent players in the sport, in the sense of finding players who are all more than willing to bash their heads in even after knowing the reprocussions. there are more than enough people with the aggressive willingness to fill the shoes of an NFL starter, any day any time. with that kind of money...there most likely always will be.

The NFL Players are compromised of 3 types of men. Warriors, Athletes, and strong men men who didn't know where else to go. Borland was clearly one of the latter two.

the 9ers are not in a good place defensively...no sugar coating it. it may or may not be any of the owner or GMs doing after all. it could all be circumstance. being unhappy with the management means you jump ship to another team. not retire. can't imagine baalke being THAT big of an asshole that would get good players to not even want to play anymore. I mean, he's an asshole don't get me wrong but...

At least the Niners Offense was super sturdy last year.

it's all about potential right now...if everything followed what happened last year, vereen along with 3 other giants RBs would be on IR already

Geez (Borland quits).

The only question left is, 2-14, or 1-15. Yikes. A good year for the Faithful to really get into halftime snacks and beverages. Oh well, we can vicariously watch the Raiduhz do better....

I picked a good time to get season tickets to the Earthquakes.

18 guys on injured reserve last year. 18 GUYS. What the fuck? Coughlin now has reduced the weekly work load and is making them use sleep/biodata monitoring technology to try and solve our injury bug of the last 2 years.
