The Official 2017/2018 NFL Thread

John Mara does not look happy. I think McAdoo gets the ax tonight.

Eli would retire. No fucking way he puts up with Harbaugh's tantrum shit.

Say hi to Davis Webb.

Davis Webb? We have a Top 3 pick next year, Bruh, he is going to pick the Best Running Back in the Draft to make the new Quarterback.

:laughing

I honestly have a hard time seeing Harbaugh's flamboyant nonsense flying in the Giants Ownership, but Wellington Mara is dead, maybe our class has been dying with him for the last 10 years and we will accept the Harbaugh Circus.

I meant this year.

Why is Eli out there getting killed by teams in garbage time

Yeah, saw that earlier in my news feed.
The guy is going to end up in elected office if he's not careful. :laughing

Is it just me or does anyone else think McAdoo looks like an illegitimate Trump offspring?

More like offspring of Nathan Therm. Or like a colorful 19th century description of Russian whalers by a visiting Yankee: "covered in whale oil, as though they ate, drank and bathed in the stuff." (original "greasers were whalers, not Mexicans)

The guy really does look like he popped out of Vaseline jar. On top of everything else going on with the team, that's just kind of a bizarre sidenote.

I listened to sport blabbers this morning talking in circles about merits/drawbacks of winning one vis-a-vis draft advantage for next year.

Although I am not a "call-in" guy, I felt like screaming at them at least through the radio on my dash: do any of you realize that Belichick perpetually takes not-necessarily famous players and elevates them by a superior scheme and system?!?!?!?! THAT is what you want to emulate, not getting draft picks like its a 5-hour Energy bottle that will suddenly make you great.
How many times have we seen star picks go to crappy teams and not go much of anywhere?

I actually believe in Lynch and Shanahan. I think they are attempting to build such a system. I think the players sense it too based on their post-game comments etc.

So please, Niners, go right ahead and keep trying to win. If you have a brain trust, you will survive not getting the best draft pick. That said, I am a bit concerned about their two picks this year staying healthy and panning out...

my god I don't think a football team could try any less to stop an opponent than the Giants defense just did. borderline disrespectful.

but, congrats to the 9ers on maybe their only win of the season. you have to take them when they are presented to you, lest there isn't another chance.

and although they did hurt their draft status...you gotta win a fucking game. at least one. no one wants to be associated with the stigma of the old Bucs or the newer Lions.

Good win.

Oh, damn. I've been in that position and had my baby live through it. My heart just broke for the Goodwins. Thanks for sharing that.
