The Official 2017/2018 NFL Thread

men don't wear jewelry.

:rofl

If that fight represents the hard, unyielding, unrepentant, manliness of the Raiders their image has fallen quite a bit over the years.

"Left AND right hooks..." :laughing

P.S. Someone should edit the WB cartoon sound of cat fighting over the soundtrack to the video.

Okay, I've watched the whole thing multiple times and there is no point at which Crabs did anything commendable. None. And he sure as hell didn't pay any homage to the great beasts Tooz or Zado.
Left AND right hooks? :laughing :facepalm

Save some of those bitters my next Manhattan... :laughing

clearly, the hooks were too fast for the camera :x

Let me take a shot at the narrative of events:
Crabs gets a good block locked up on Talib.
Rides it out of bounds and well past the whistle.
Once Talib has had enough he shucks Crabs like an ear of corn.
Talib ends up on top.
As a general melee develops Talib is pulled off of Crabs but manages to yank his opponent's helmet off.
Crabs, playing the role of the lioness surrounded by hyenas, back pedals while taking wild swipes at Talib.
Once the general melee dies down a bit the two come together again and Crabs gets in a cheap shot.

In which alternate universe would Crabs be comparable to this guy?

Let me take a shot at the narrative of events:
Crabs gets a good block locked up on Talib.
While getting blocked in the field of play, Talib rips Crabs' chain off again
Crabs then decides to ride Talib like the donkey he is
, out of bounds and well past the whistle and to the ground.
Once Crabs lets up, Talib tries to jump on him.

As a general melee develops Talib is pulled off of Crabs but manages to yank his opponent's helmet off.5 other Broncos come runnig to help little Talib out. Ray tries to steal Crabs' shoes.
Surrounded by his friends, Talib throws Crabs' helmet at him like a little bitch.

Crabs, playing the role of the lioness surrounded by hyenas, destroys Talib's soft jaw with an open-handed hook,
then reaches in for some eye gouge action. Talib keeps his helmet on because like the rest of the Broncos, he's soft just like Elway said.

Once the general melee dies down a bit the two come together again with 2 Bronco o-linemen and Crabs gets in a beautiful, Alzado-esque cheap shot hook.

In which alternate universe would Crabs be comparable to this guy?

Still waiting for some justification supporting this comment made earlier:

I liked Crabs channeling the ghosts of the AFL past, maybe even Alzado mean, and I think even Talib was surprised by it.

Go make my Manhattan, Mr Bitters.... :laughing

Talib's a puke, Harris deserved the sucker punch 'cause he's a Bronco, and Raiders STILL have a chance to make the playoffs. :x

Talib is a puke. You should have to bite a bar of Dial for comparing Crabs to Zado or Tooz. :x

No mention of the 49ers getting shellacked?

Okay, I'll bite. I was proud of the Niner defense, including the spectacular interception to begin the game. They play hard. Russell Wilson may be the greatest scrambling QB but just like the earlier game this year, the Niner D hung on as best they could with the faltering offense putting them out there.

I still like this team, the coach and the GM and I think things are gonna get better. It just takes time. Compared to Baalke years and head coach merry-go-round, I am onboard with these guys.

That was a different era. LOL, you look at that video of him after being drafted in the locker room and he looks like a damn WWF Wrestler. He was so 'roided out and full of cocaine that it made Romanowski look straight edge.
