The Official 2017/2018 NFL Thread

good win against a shitty team. nice to see the Raiders get back to their winning ways against the Giants. So it's not all that impressive to beat on a team they historically own. All is right in the NFL when the Raiders beat them like usual. Perhaps there is hope for the league after all.

I hope "Gronk" gets suspended. That Roid monkey deserves it for his cheap shot.
That was rediculous!

He should have gotten immediately tossed from the game and faced at least 1 game suspension, you can't even claim heat of the moment with that crap. :thumbdown

I found Eldirty's soul mate

Don't think that is true. I honestly protested a lot when they made that blockbuster trade for Eli. I was accustomed to the Accorsi Era, where we didn't do business that way. I never should have doubted Accorsi. I tend to prefer a passer who is less streaky and easier to predict, but he has won me over with really impressive character, leadership, and some truly historic heroic QB performances for the HoF in what most consider 2 of the top 5 Superbowls of all time, but I have always been more of a Defense man, growing up with the Big Blue Wrecking Crew.

All the same, that fucking GM I have been bitching about for over a decade cost Eli a consecutive start streak for the record books he has been building for 13 YEARS nonstop. That is fucking infuriating. He will probably start next week and next year until the Future Guy is found, he was on the sidelines yesterday, so it was just the stupidity of Crapadoo that stuck a wedge in that particular record for him, 2nd only behind the immortal Favre.

I wonder if we can bring Mean Grandpa back now or he is committed to Jacksonville... :laughing

:laughing Ah yes, the winning ways of the Raiders that last were a tradition in the 1970's, a time from which anyone still alive today needs bifocals to consider their options in adult diapers.

What are we playing here, cripple fight? The Break Even Bandits (6-6) want to clown me for winning by 7 at home in a game where we started our 2nd string throw away for giggles? I can only assume the plan with starting Smith rather than Webb was to intentionally tank for a better draft option. :laughing

It's just nice to see the coach killing ways of the Raiders are finally being directed at other teams' coaches.... :laughing

and Jon Gruden to NY hot takes have started :laughing

They called Ernie Accorsi (who actually built our last 2 Superbowls) in for consulting, so my hope is that this will not be the same yuck as the last picks for HC and GM. I still have to wonder if they are going to reach out to Coughlin.

Ok, I will just say it.

Last night's game was a disgrace to the game of football. Between the penalties that weren't, the penalties that were, laziness, and immaturity it was a sad game.

I think JUJU should be suspended for a game. I am an old-school defense guy and I liked how he laid Burfict out (I thought it was clean) but you don't stand over the guy talking shit.

I hope Shaizer is ok and I feel for him and his family. I couldn't imagine watching my family member laying on the field and being helpless to help.

The Steelers aren't as good as their record. We will get to the playoffs but I don't think we can beat any of the top teams. We have played down to our opponents all year long.

Ben is done. You can see it in his face when he pulls himself up off the ground. And his impatience with the receivers is starting to show.

Just a bummer of a game, but winning is still better than losing to those a-hole bungles.

Yeah, that game did not help the overall regard of the NFL. Thing is, Burfict, the recipient of one of the hits, is known for his dirty play and cheap shots....

And not forgiving what happened, but as soon as they were in the tunnel out of the camera's eye he jumped off the cart telling the doctors "I kept telling you I was fine. Let me go" and walked into the locker room himself.

I am sure after Ryan got hurt the medical crew weren't going to take anything for granted.

Not gonna lie though it was cool seeing Burfict get blown the hell up.

Clean hit, too. Shoulder to chest.
