They pick shitty QBs.

Rosen #1 and Barkley #4 would be an amazing setup for Cleveland.

Darnold at 2 for NYG would be great as well.

He won't last another year though. Dorsey is actually a decent GM.

Rosen seems to get hurt alot. Not sure I'd spend a #2 on him. I like the kid from Wyoming, Josh Allen...he needs to work on some things but he has huge upside.

Raiders should snag Barkley if he falls to #9/#10. Say sayonara to Lynch.

Josh Allen wishes he was Paxton Lynch. He's going to be a huge bust.

I think any one of these qb's is a coin toss. But I'd take Allen over Rosen

Allen can't even play against decent college teams.

Darnold would be great in NY if they bring in McDaniels.

NY needs to fix their O' line before anything else, if we're talking Giants...if we're talking the Jets taking another USC QB, 'cue the butt-fumble' :laughing

Eli isn't done yet, which is why NYG would do well to pick a QB to sit for a year (or 2) while you buy an OL in free agency.

after Palmer the next 4 first round QB's from USC have been huge busts. would not trust (Barkley, Sanchez, Leinart and brain cramping)

FtFY....

QB's go to Cleveland and die.

true story. didn't one of these kids pull a "Classy Eli" move and say they wouldn't declare for the draft if Browns showed interest? I mean it's not as petty as saying you'd rather sit out a year of football than get paid millions to play for San Diego, but it's up there. :teeth

Elway did it back in 83. He flat refused to play for Indy. He had a offer to pitch for the Yankees and used that as leverage to be traded. Broncos won out on that deal. He was brash and unapologetic about it too, had a FU attitude. And why not , his other option was to pitch for the pinstripes. I don't see any of these draft picks, even going back to Eli, have any leverage remotely close to what Elway had.

Oh, Eldy, if only there were enough room for more people in the fantasy you call reality I would happily join you. :laughing

Tell you what, I will buy you a drink to wash away your stained pride if the Gnatis pick Mayfeild. Would be funny as hell though.
:Popcorn This banter is getting interesting... :laughing

Eli Apple.

I mean, I don't recall a lot of character concerns about him when he was drafted. Clearly he has turned into a personality and probably will be one of those guys that gets fast tracked to replacement as previously mentioned. He was drafted at 20 years old though. Still a young kid, but I figure if he doesn't grow up by the time his rookie contract is over, he won't be resigned, even though he has been a pretty good corner. Landon Collins is the man in the NYG backfield, so if he doesn't work out his beef with LC, he won't last.

Dude, I just rolled like 15 years of draft history and GM decisions to you, I don't know where you think the fantasy is. :dunno LOL, you can offer the drink, but it just won't happen. Rosen is probably the guy, I'm expecting the Browns to take Darnold at #1. My expectation is for them to take Rosen and let him hold the clipboard while Eli plays the last year on his contract next year. A Tackle at #2 makes sense, but we have so many busted #1 and #2 picks on the Oline already, they might just try and fix it through the draft. We need more pass rush still. My hope is the new GM actually respects the LB position and gets us the MLB we have needed for like 10 years, but after the QB they will more than likely take at #1 (barring the Cousins thingy), they will probably just go with BPA in subsequent rounds. I expect that Cousins stuff I mentioned before they pick Mayfield though. I would not be surprised if Mayfield went to Cincinnati or Houston.

LOL, that was Rosen. Similarly to Eli, he pretty much is already declaring his intent to play in NY, which may mean the Browns do a similar take and trade strategy. Tampering rules are being edged all around there right now.

I was not a fan of the Eli deal when it went down, splash deals like that are not how we do business in Joisey, but 14 years and 2 Superbowls to None later, clearly Eli made the right call. With his better statistics, I do sometimes wonder how Rivers would have worked out if he had joined a less toxic organization, but I also wonder if that deal set him up to play with a chip on his shoulder to motivate him to be better his whole career. A lot of interesting things to suppose in there.

Like, since that deal went down, Brees has a ring, Eli has two rings, and the guy for the Bolts has none. Maybe listening to your dad and brother and staying the fuck away from San Diego is not bad advice. Some franchises are just born to fail because of toxic ownership.

I thought the Browns will trade their #1 slot and take a line backer and then do some more trades and basically get everyone they wanted and get to the SuperBowl next year?

Or was that just in the movie http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2223990/?ref_=nv_sr_1

yeah i won't take a single thing away from Eli on the field. he literally saved the US from Armageddon. twice. he's arguably the best of the big 3 from that draft and been one of the more consistent and effective QB's in a league where it's hard to find even a below avg QB.

(and fuck the Pats)

but when that draft business went down it did *not* set well with me at all (obviously, since i'm still crying about it)

no no they traded UP to #1 and then took a LB instead of the QB, and then traded AGAIN to get #6 in front of whatever that team was that wanted the QB and got all their picks back and David goddamn Putney :laughing

All the trades are horrible, too.

#7 plus two more first rounders for #1 overall is a bad trade for a QB, let alone for a LB.

Three 2nd rounders for #6 overall is a fucking steal.

Getting #7 back plus the other first rounders for #6 is insane, plus an extra player, because they held the other team hostage for the QB.

at the end of the day, trading three 2nd rounders to end up with #1 and #7 overall is nuts, and taking a LB and RB with the two picks is a fireable offense :laughing

Me either, man, I was NOT an Eli believer for the first 2 years, but I own the Jersey now. If it wasn't for Dude, Tom Brady would have 7 Superbowl Rings, and the Pats would have the only Perfect Season of the 16 Game era. So ewwww.
