Vegetarian Food Thread

That looks/sounds surprisingly goood. Normally I run (not walk) from tofu. I find a hard time finding dishes I like it in, but I'm not a huge fan of eggs anyway, so tofu might be a good substitute.
 
We love tofu scramble! Tofu makes a great substitute for eggs in spicy masala scrambled eggs :thumbup

OMG dude - that looks awesome! love tofu also - it’s almost magical in what can be done with it. my SO made a fantastic breakfast this morning - crispy tofu tossed with chunks of avocado and manila mango. he drizzled apricot butter over it, and topped it off with cracked tellicherry peppercorns. am pissed i dove in without taking pics - but it was to die for!!!

I'm not vegan (Had to get that straight) but I do cook up numerous vegy dishes in a stir fry wok, lightly fried and seasoned with various spices. Sometimes I cook up some chicken cubes first, sometimes some vegy.

The best part is that Streak, my Pit Bull loves this and I don't use any dog hazardous vegy so we both eat it almost every day. Lots of cruciferous stuff.

Love avocados. Love toast.

Something about the combo is revolting to me though. Maybe it’s a textural thing? I also want to run screaming from the room when I have to touch powdered sugar or corn starch… so yeah, I’m sensitive to that kind of thing.

Should I seek professional help?

Made another meal out of our Impossible Meat Cookbook last night. Took a while but it was incredible. Taco Salad with homemade avocado dressing.
 
Yum..... I have a boatload of apples and pears that a neighbor gave me. Am trying to pick the best tart recipe to use them in. Barefoot Contessa's sounds like a winner. (And then of course had to watch the Humphry Bogart movie of the same name...damn, it's long. Still need to finish.)

I still have awesome memories of the canned pears my mom used to do. Just walking into the garage and grabbing a jar and having sweet sweet pear goodness on demand.
