Wine Country Ablaze

It's kind of easy.

If it looks like it is on fire, spray it with water.

If it's orange, spray it with water.

If it's moving, spray it with water.

If it's floating, spray it with water.

If it's dry, spray it with water.

If you don't want it on fire, spray it with water.

Surprised there is no talk about looting. When I was living up north and there was the fires off Hwy 36 people's farms were getting robbed and houses being broken into. Crazy what opportunists thieves are.
Too early and too many meth heads up that way for it not to happen.

I’ve been following this all morning. The crazy strong winds sure as hell aren’t helping the firefighting activities. Ugh.... Hang in there, folks.

I really hope you are correct.

I'd bet there will be more discovered. My neighbor had a friend who lives out of Mark West past Riebli and it was sheer luck that he woke up to a wall of fire racing down the hill. No warning at all.

Brutal fire

I know two families in my near immediate circle that lost everything., one old Baja riding buddy (Mark West Springs Rd), and the brother of my sister in law

When I woke up my whole house (in SF) smelled like smoke. For a minute I thought maybe I had forgotten to shower before coming home from Austin.

If any BARF evacuees need a place to crash or just a place to store some bikes, we have a spare room in our house and I've got room in the garage for some bikes - in Daly City, so not super close, but there if someone needs it.

My cats woke me up around 2:30 this morning going nuts with the smoke. Ended up shutting up my apartment area, but upstairs in the house still smelled really bad of smoke this morning.

+1
I have plenty of space in the brewery, as we are still working on buildout. I can house quite a few people and their bikes/belongings for a week or so. Sorry, no beer on tap yet. :p

My ex lives on Mark West. She never went to bed. She was up listening to a police scanner app. Her landlord who lives on the property called her around 11:30pm to let her know that they would probably be ordered to evacuate. She ended up boogieing out of there when she saw the orange glow and heard the fire coming. No warning to speak of.

My ex lost her house, just got the news. Now I have to tell our kid that mom's house burned down :(

If there is anyone that went North, I have space in Rio Dell.

Pets up to large dog size are welcome here at the house, larger animals can be accommodated close by.

I have a truck and trailer at the ready for anyone that needs help with clean up.
A few rustic sleeping spaces available as well.

Santa Rosa PD has mentioned there is looting in the Coffee Park area.
The fire hit that place hard.
There's got to be a special place in hell for some people.
