VeloceMoto said:Ok, Barf Militia boys and girls, time to entertain some Noob questions:
What's a kind of prices do you pay for your .40SW/9mm/45ACP ammo?
Just normal stuff for target practice, not self defense.
zefflyn said:I try not to pay more than about $10 per box of practice ammo. As you've noticed, 9mm is the cheapest, then .40, then .45. .38 special costs about the same as .40, and .357 is about the same price as .45 ACP.
So, I'll search around and by cheapo boxes of .38 for around $8 or $9, and .45 for around $11. Walmart now has bulk boxes of Winchester white box, 100 rounds for $12.

They filled in the bottom of the mag well, and put the mag spring and follower internal. You have to break the rifle apart to reload!

VeloceMoto said:I guess I should have also asked how many boxes you folks go through in a month. Obviously that varies from person to person, but...
The way I see it, the ammo if .45 ammo is $3 cheaper per box, is it really going to break the bank?
5 boxes/month * $3 = $15
Annualize that and it's almost $200/year more. Hmm..
I wonder if that should stop me from getting the gun want, or eventually buying it down the road anyway.
