$31 total if I Buy It Now. Anyone got better ideas? Spring action, preferably black or gray. TIA! :teeth

Hey Webber:

What made you buy the XD9?

I spent about a half an hour last night surfing webpages about them. I thought for sure I wanted a Glock (17, 26), since I'm looking for something in the $500 +/- range... but now the XD9 seems like a fine cantidate.

I never bought an XD9, I got a Sig Pro .40.
I hear nothing but good stuff from XD owners. Same with CZ-75s, but I can't tell you anything from extended experience (20 rds through a Beretta here, 50 rds through an HK there :rolleyes) :teeth

Oh that's right.

For some reason I thought it was you that got the XD9.

So, while we're talking about your Sig Pro, how'd you decide on it? :laughing I don't know much about those either.

I got it as a gift :laughing Can't say no to that!!! Some advantages and disadvantages to the Sig Pro are listed in this in-depth review:

http://www.praxagora.com/lunde/SigProFAQ/XI/sig-pro-review-2.html

Sig Pro Pro's list against the P229

* Lighter
* Overall better stock trigger in my opinion
* Less expensive by about 2 to 3 hundred bucks
* Robust factory grips really eat recoil
* More resistant to corrosion by sweat, and so forth

Sig Pro Cons against the P229

* Physically larger weapon
* A little play in the trigger
* More difficult to field strip and assemble
* Harder to find holsters for (not very)
* Gun snobs are not impressed (if you care)

Sweet I will talk to you on Thursday...Just want to look into it and try it at least once.

Thank you again. Are you bringing the shotgun? :teeth

:laughing, yes the shotgun will be there too. You'll have to go to Reed's with me one time and try throwing a slug down the range. :wtf

If you want to get into it, my friend is an Airsoft Gunsmith. He Custom fabricates Airsoft weapons. Really nice looking replicas. I don't play, but PM if you want his info.

Damn, the custom stuff starts to equal a lot of $$$. Very cool and interesting though.

Angel, maybe I'll bring an Airsoft rifle to show you.

Cardinal rule of airsoft #1.

"You get what you pay for."

If something is cheap, it's because it is cheap!

Thank you Eldritch at this point I just want to look into it and try it first. BTW, did you say you were a gun safety instructor?

Scorp, I totally agree, but man some of that stuff was like, whoa. You still play at all?

Occasionally. Although now that my airsoft buddies aren't running airsoft shops anymore, I might be getting out more often.

Meet my Systema SR-16 Stoner. All told I have $1400 worth of crap in the damn thing. I could've built two real ARs for that price.
