Technically, they are more of a Neighborhood Watch group, that calls the cops when they see trouble, than a militia. A militia would be running around armed, and actually fighting. Most of the Minutemen are not licenced to carry, and don't.

Neighborhood watch groups post signs saying that they'll call the cops when they see illegal activity. That's all these guys are doing, with the exception that sometimes they'll provide food and water to the migrants while waiting for the authorities to arrive.

Of course, the liberals can't stand that kind of behavior. So, they vilify the minutemen with all kinds of libel and false charges, with the full support of the Mexican President.

With the emphasis towards hunting, you'll have to go with the M1a or Garand. If you're going to be doing any sort of DCM/CMP shoots, the BAR won't work for that. The BAR would be a better hunting rifle, though.

If you want to start on the cheap, come to the high-power match on the 28th at Chabot, borrow one of their Garands, then you can buy a Garand from the CMP for $500, that'll be good for shooting, and you can build it up later. Or, you can buy just a receiver or barreled action, and build it up.
 
so whats the info on shooting on thursday? i want to bring my gf and teach her how to shoot.

on a side note, i think targetmasters banned wolf ammo directly because of me leaving like over 1000 cases laying around there HAHAHAHAHHAha. that one steel case they use as a example is also mine, LOL

i sat here looking at that pic for hela long trying to figure out where all that ammo is in, and what that is in the upper left corner, i finally realized thats a shelf in a closet with a sliding door. thats a lot of ammo. hope there isnt a fire there.

shit i hope there isnt a fire here also,. there enough ammo in my closet to level my townhouse and the persons house above mine HAHAHAHHA
 
Yeah, he said he can't walk past the gun counter at Walmart without buying a box, and has it stacked on top of his safe in the closet.


Funny thing - he also said the fire marshall has a plan for when his house catches fire - get behind cover and wait for it to burn out. :laughing
 
yeah seriously, thats one reason i wouldnt want to be a firefighter, you have no idea what kind of "surprises" there are goign to be in a burning house.

20 ice picks actually. 10 here. I am away that I can not buy AP here, but its still a sweet piece. I really have no use for AP.

I don't rightly remember how many rounds of it I have. Yeah, maybe Skwiddy and I will stop by Fre'Bux and then Target Masters. Hurrrummm........ Guns, ammo, motorcycle......... Should be fun to ride whilst packing.......... Gotta figger out how to carry all the crap legal/safe.

So I didn't make it over to Reed's last weekend to look at the P2000. Does anyone, offhand, know if they do layaways? If so, is it 30% of purchase price, whatever? I'm still in the 30 day waiting period between purchases.
 
I'm trying to find a German WWII helmet, reproduction, original, whatever..just love the way the things look. I'd like to avoid ones with swastikas on them as I don't support Nazi ideals, but I won't run away from those either. So far, I found a couple here and there on Ebay:
