BARF Militia

So I bought a new house up in Alamo and I'll be moving there early Oct if all goes well. What ranges are there in the area? Just Chabot and Libmo?
And I'll need to find a new LGS. I am not looking forward at all to moving the contents of my garage, between the safe, contents and ammo I think I'm at about a ton of gun shit alone. <= subtle hint that I might need a hand :laughing

:wave
Now to clarify. I'm not gonna help you move a ton of gun junk, but I'll gladly sell you more gun junk. :teeth

While it isn't exactly a real safe, there are times I'm very glad my Harbor Freight "safe" weighs all of 225lb. Still not easy to get up any stairs, but I can move it around the house no problem and managed to get it in the car solo.

If I was expecting to live in the same place for a long time I would be inclined to get something bigger, but for now mine with an extra 75lb of steel + contents bolted to the wall seems adequate. It's certainly better than just hiding them or a Stack On cabinet. It'll probably turn into ammo storage once I upgrade.

It's not bad, I just don't like the idea of buying something now I dont really need. I know a lot are buying CZs and I'm debating about it. I suppose it would fit my DA/SA firearm category I dont have.

Eh? Well you don't "need" any of it so don't feel guilty about buying something now that there is an actual good reason.

I just moved a 600 lb safe for someone (spent 2 days on the couch with ibuprofen after) you better start making friends :laughing

Ugggh. Two of us moved a 700 lb. safe. Fortunately only a few porch stairs were involved. It sucked even with a pallet jack to move it.

Anyone have a list of SSE handguns they are buying before the New Year? Saw a few threads on Calguns where guys have 4 handguns essentially on order.

There's a couple out there I'd like but hate to buy something just to buy it because after Dec 31st I wont.

Already bought a P238 SAS.
Currently in jail is a CZ75B in High Polish...it was just too pretty to pass up.

Also on my wish list is a Sig P938 SAS
&
Sig 1911 Traditional Match Elite Stainless in 9mm
For now I think that covers it. Also want a Colt XSE, but those are on the list, so no rush.

Since peeps are posting CZ's I'll post mine.
CZ75b converted to SA. It's such an awesome gun. Never had a failure in thousands of rounds, except for one squib I loaded, lol.

CZ tip;
The SP01 has a longer Slide Stop (~3 mm) than a 75B, It fits the big brother 97B too.

Yeah, everyone speaks highly of them.

My short list:

1. HK USP 9MM
2. Walther PPK/s
3. AK Pistol

I want to get a Sig Mosquito too, but I think those are already legal in the standard or two tone colors. If you want to go l33t or pink, its SSE only, which no one seems to do.

Roman, do you have the Mosquito in stock? It would be for my wife.

You know what hooked me ?
A CZ82 I bought for a friend, Gunbroker auction for $215, better than the PPK or Makarov. :teeth I was just so opposed to owning yet another caliber I didn't get one.

I want something smaller, in the event I need it. Right now, I just have a G17.

Sell me your's for $200? I mean its used more, right? :twofinger

Yeah, seen some Marakov generics in a few mags for around $125. The CZ version is obviously a higher grade. The Walther has some obvious appeal from the bond movies, plus it looks better. Not sure which I SHOOT better, since I've never shot either. Wonder if Reed's has them?

Anyone get the CZ Polymer stuff? These look nice..
