Except it doesn't happen in free states where you can walk in and then walk out with a gun in 5-10 minutes.

Roman can probably chime in on how long the background checks for CA actually takes. It sounds like DOJ is claiming only 20% would clear in an hour or less, and that sounds like bullshit to me.

Why would California's system be slower than Texas to run a background check? That doesnt make sense.
 
This raises a couple of questions for me. 'How does the state know a person has already taken legal possession of a firearm', given they didn't keep the dros records... And will they differentiate on weapon type, long arm versus handgun?

You have to have one registered in your name so youre on their list
 
Since Jan1 everything has been registered upon purchase. I would interpret it as requiring you have something registered.

I knew this was gonna happen soon after I sold it.

Anyone got a nonfunctional Eotech 552 or Bushnell holosight (needs to be the longer AA powered chassis) they want to give away/sell cheap?

Needs to have the glass/optics in working order, and the case not too compromised. Preferrably the buttons and their membrane aren't worn away. Laser can be completely DOA as that will be coming out for this HUD project.

Omega grips on the 97, must have big hands, but it fills them better than the thin aluminum ones. It's so pretty

Can I get the 97 without SSE? I really want to pick up a compact handgun and another fullsize 9mm. Then a 22LR for my wife. Need to get in to a store or two and check them out, preferably the range to test some triggers.

I think so, decocker models weren't on the list if I remember correctly.
97s are 45 ACP
75s are 9mm, .40
85s are ambidextrious 75s
