That looks AWESOME! Love AKs.

Here's the new gun. Bond never had a problem with it cutting his hand. So you are less of a man than Bond? Jeez, man up. :x

Gah!!

I'm looking for a Remington 700 PSS and what do I see instead? Sig 229 for $499, and a Glock 19 for $450. Choices, choices.

Oh yeah, Scorp, I hate you. :)

Where? Where! I'd like to pick up another G19 for $450! :drool

10mm means you are a fringe Weirdo. Decent human beings shoot a .45. :teeth

Personally, I like the .40 S&W in my Glock 23. .40 is a round for practical weirdos.

Well, seeing as how the 10mm outperforms the .45, stfu :twofinger

Besides, I like the metric system. Never really hated the British system until I had to start doing work in engineering measuring shit in "slugs" and "kips" and other bullshit like that.

Dunno why they even bother to say "Bush expected to sign bill" - the rubber-stamp man hasn't vetoed a single piece of legislation since he enterd that office.

Awww, c'mon. Everybody knows 10mm is a weirdo round. Freak. :teeth

10mm is just a .40 with a napoleon complex.

I work with a dude who is continually surprised that he doesn't know stuff, and it's funny (but annoying) to watch him figure stuff out, all the while proclaiming what he knows.

One guy brought in two guns: a little Beretta 87, and a S&W Model 19. He's showing them to us in the back room. The Beretta's magazine release had fallen out, and I was looking at the gun. Dude walks in, snatches it from me, and says "Oh, Beretta, I can fix this." Then spends the next 20 minutes trying to get it to fit, occasionally saying stuff like, "See, it's reversable, so you can have it like this if you're right handed, or like this if you're left handed."

I tell him he'll have to remove the grip to get the release in there, but he keeps working at it. People start offering him screwdrivers, but he dismisses them all with a declaration that none of them will fit, it needs a certain size that's just for gunsmiths. Nevertheless, the third one we offer him fits, and he takes off one side of the grip.

10 minutes later he takes off the other side, and a few minutes after that pops the release into place.

That done, he starts looking at the other gun, it looks like this:
tnm19-4.jpg

He picks it up and remarks, "Oh a Smith and Wesson." Somehow, he figures out how to release the cylinder, and remarks, "Oh, it's double-action!" Then proceeds to explain, "I don't like revolvers, because they're louder when firing the same ammo."

:wtf

Can anyone here speak intelligently to me about the FN 5.7? The more I read about that piece the more I think I need one. Military restricted ammo is a pain, but I think I NEED it. :teeth

Eldritch,

I do not own an FN 5.7, nor have I ever fired one, but after handling one it seemed kinda. . .plastic-y. Pretty much every external control is plastic and it just didn't seem right.

>>>>

BTW, I got to fire a S&W 686 on Sat. and I think I might have to get one now. Oh yeah, shot an MP5 in E AND F. That was FUN.

The 686 is a .44 Mag, right? I've been dreaming of buying one and building a homage to Sledge Hammer.

I've been trying to find the online article I read about the FN 5.7. The rated the gun just fine overall, but it wasn't highly accurate (you know, like 3-4 inch groups, instead of 1-2 inch), but it functioned and cycled reliably.

They are legal in CA, but it'd be kind of a waste to buy one and be stuck with 10-round mags :(

the 686 is a .357Mag/.38 spcl

Yeah, the 686 is .357/.38 Special. I dunno, I just haven't fired many wheelguns and I liked the balance and ergos.

Anyways, any of you guys have Class III weapons I can fire off sometime? That MP5 has me day-dreaming.
