Brichter has the simplest solution..ammonia patch through the bore and then wipe up the bolt face, too. Then just do your regular cleaning process. :cool

Well, some of us have shit to do, like thermo-fluid dynamic systems, and can't sit around for hours cleaning our guns :twofinger

ammonia patch, bore snake, oil patch, done :cool

Man, this whole NSA phone surveillance thing is annoying the shit out of me. The Daily Show had a funny thing on it tonight. They showed a string of Fox News anchors defending the Bush Administration and the spying program. Some said, "Hey, if it keeps me safe, I don't care!"

So, on one hand, we have the pussification of society and an attack on personal responsibility from the left, and a blatant attack on civil rights from the right. :rolleyes

It's not just the right, though, it's the government. You can bet whoever is in office, they'll be doing all they can to expand their power by taking from us.

That's why I gotta get more guns!!!

They are all crooks, liars and cheats.

Fire when ready (even in your P.J.s)
How about a home firing range? "We don't seek that market out, but it finds us -- and the rate at which it finds us is growing," says Mitch Petrie, director of law enforcement and commercial sale for Minneapolis-based Range Systems, which manufactures and installs range equipment for law enforcement and the government. "It's a real market."

"They're pretty normal guys -- businessmen, doctors," Petrie says of his civilian clientele. "We've got, on Long Island, a dentist; an entrepreneur in Naples, Florida who's got one in his vacation home; a scientist in the Las Vegas area; and a large general contractor in the Las Vegas area has probably a $50,000 range in his home." Costs can skyrocket, he says, as shooters invest in special ventilations systems and interactive video shooting simulators like those used by police.

One potential obstacle for homeowners: Many municipalities don't allow discharge of firearms within city limits.

Price: "$10,000 buys you a basic full-wall bullet trap system, and a cable-operated target system with some ceiling protection, as well," says Petrie. That doesn't include all ventilation or full protection from noise, however.

Canyon Sports has a range in a trailer behind their shop. I think they said the trailer was about $50k or so. Would be nice to have. Would be nicer to live on a farm/ranch where you can just shoot out of your back door.

Wouldn't be that hard to install one in a basement or something..the hard part is the ventilation and soundproofing. That's a good idea though, I will most definitely look into that when I get hired by Raytheon to build missiles in AZ :cool :teeth

Too bad I won't be able to shoot rifles :(

Yes shooting out the back door was nice, but having check for the hippies taking a bath in the swim hole sucked.

Amen Brother!

You are preaching to the choir here!

Everyone, take notes, there will be a quiz later on my view of politics:

We had a good President once, his name was Washington! :laughing but not kidding.

Jefferson? Minus the embargo fiasco he was a state's rights champion, lowered taxes (whiskey tax) and reduced the deficit by reducing the size of the military. He was a man truly dedicated to liberty.

Plus he had good quotes like: "I have sworn upon the altar of God eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man."

And especially for this thread:
No free man shall ever be de-barred the use of arms.
Thomas Jefferson

The strongest reason for the people to retain their right
to keep and bear arms is as a last resort to protect
themselves against tyranny in government.
Thomas Jefferson

"A strong body makes the mind strong.
As to the species of exercises, I advise the gun.
While this gives moderate exercise to the body,
it gives boldness, enterprise and independence to the mind.
Games played with the ball, and others of that nature,
are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind.
Let your gun therefore be the constant companion of your walk."
Thomas Jefferson

If McCain’s going to claim he’s a conservative on guns, then he’s got some explaining to do.

http://article.nationalreview.com/?q=ZjIwYjQyOGQ4OWNhN2I0Nzc1MTE4NmVmZWRmMGJjMWE=

Let’s consider just one of these issues: McCain’s claimed pro-gun record. This was true a decade ago, but since then, on issues such as regulating gun shows, banning less expensive guns and so-called assault weapons, and requiring gunlocks, McCain has supported central portions of the gun-control agenda. Indeed, in a couple cases, McCain authored the proposed legislation himself.

McCain is a freaking idiot. Really. A freak and an idiot. What I can't believe is that McCain/Feingold was upheld as constitutional. That was the last straw for holding any hope out for this country for me.

I say go to San Jose Gun Exchange and buy whatever they have. Get the DRO's going before something happens!

Are you still sitting?

GO!!!!!
