Were you part of the Milpitas buy?

I bought two in the previous buy before they got snagged.

Let me know if you want help putting it together. :) Since Eric is taking one of mine that opens up a slot in the safe to do a gripless build. :teeth

I was part of that buy, but my shit is still in the hands of the DOJ :mad

Do you need a specific .22LR lower?

No. But some people feel better about having one marked .22lr. California doesn't have a constructive possession law, so as long as you have a .22lr upper mounted on your open magwell-pistol-gripped lower, you'll be within the letter of the law.

Got it. Maybe next year. A ruger 10/22 will be plenty for now. :)

WTF? They're going to be banning pulse rifles and rail guns by the time you get around to finally buying that M1A. :laughing

Matter of fact, I don't ever want to see another post from you with "M1A" or "USP" in it unless it's to announce your 10 day wait is over and you've already picked it up, shot it, cleaned it, and posted pics of it. :teeth.

:laughing ahaha bastids....:twofinger

ahah ok..read the pages after...so no ban on the M1A? wo0t wo0t! (and YES the idea is still bouncing in my head....but for sure im going to be a owner of a pistol :teeth)

What the hell, you just said, ". . .M1A. . " again. :mad :twofinger

J, how do you like the MUR-1A? I haven't actually had a chance to see either of them yet. I do have some VLTOR products and they seem pretty well made.

:laughing :p

i have 8 months to save up a few hundred...then putting down a purchase for either a 1911 or a USP

:laughing and yes...i said USP again...and again :p

then i'll go shooting with you guys :teeth

It seems very well built, looks awsome..etc. but like I said..Just got it last week and have not yet had the chance to try it out..Will try and change that this week..Hopefully.. This is also my first one so I can't really compare it to others except by looking at them(which means little I suppose). But it does look a bit more "angry" than some of the others:laughing

I thought I had my hand gun purchase all figured out (p99) but the more I read the online reviews the more confused I get 'cuz they all sound nice.

Choices are:

- Walther P99
- Sig 226- (Factory Reburb)
- Springfield XD9

They all fit my hand well but I'd be curious to get some feedback from the barf gang in terms of your experience with these lovely Tupperware shooters. :p Any 'gotchas' I should know about with any of these?
Primary purpose is killing paper targets and home defense. I'm not so worried about the later but plan on putting quite a few rounds down the pipe at the range so lets here those opinions. :)

Oh yeah, I'm left handed so if you know of a great lefty 9mm post up!

Get any of the Tauruses. Inexpensive. Can't beat lifetime warranty.

Hmm, I should really look into a .22 AR. . .as I'm hoarding what little .223 I have right now.

You could do that OR 7.62x39 for the same price on the uppers. 7.62x39 is 4 times cheaper then .223/5.56 right now (about 4x cheaper)....

The XD series is great, and pretty reasonably priced. I'd imagine you could pick up one with a case, 2 magazines, holster, and speed loader for about $400.

It's really about half as much. About $200 a case for the 7.62 and $400 for the .223. Wish I woulda bought more when it was $85 a case. Well, I did buy a lot but bump fired it all away. :cry :teeth

And Eric, go for the Sig. Just do it right the first time. ;) :D
