BARF Militia

Well I finally, after 1 1/2 years, picked up my lower reciever from the calguns group by. Parts for the lower arrived form DPMS today. The trigger will be a JP Rifles unit as that is what I have in my current AR and am very happy with it.
Plans for the rifle:

flat top upper (already have)
Noveske 20" barrel
Carrier & bolt from JP Rifles
full float tube from JP Rifles
harris bipod
PRI gas buster charging handle
Nightforce or Leupold scope in a LaRue mount
Primary Weapon Systems FSC556 comp
Doctor Optic mini reddot mounted on float tube at the 1:30 position

That rifle is going to be ALLL business! ;)

Oh, Mike T, how can you *not* get in on that?!?

Here's how I see his response going down.

^^^^^^^ Woah that's a sweet deal! But my parents won't let me get it. :cry

Plus it's a SOCOM and I want a M1A Standard. :thumbup

Also the Hi-Point is cool, but I've got $X.xx saved for my USP .45 but I have to wait until I'm 21 and I get a turbo for my 'Busa which I haven't bought yet, and my civic needs something.

:rofl

So, I shot Miran's CZ75 Police last night. It's a nice pistol...but I still prefer my XD trigger and safeties. Regardless of the gun, I could still use a lot of practice... :teeth

My next purchase (in a couple weeks) is a Ruger MKIII Competition - I shot it too and it was very nice. As nice as the Buckmark but the grip made it more comfortable for me.

But I *really* wish I could get this so I don't have to buy a rifle too.

I think a nice semi auto .22LR rifle would be fun and not break the bank (same ammo as MKIII). Maybe a Mossberg or Savage? Any recommendations? Standards I should look for? I assume I would want a scope on it, right? I also assume I wouldn't want to use them at indoor ranges (too short), right?

Wasn't it just two weeks ago you said "I'm not really into rifles" so wanting one shouldn't be a problem. :laughing :rofl:party:party

Take a look at the marlin 60 or the ruger 10/22

i only have experience with the Marlin and the ruger. I like the marlin for out of the box accuracy and 14 round tube, 10/22 needs a lil work out of the box but there are plentiful mods for it.

Thanks Chi!

How do the Remingtons compare?

Like the idea getting practice with a 22lr pistol. Skills learned on the 22 should easily translate to larger caliber pistols. Heh when talking semi-automatics the minimal ammo cost sure is attractive.
I don't know about scopes on a pistol. After getting a steady aim, good groupings. Next step is Old West style point and shot. Hitting bullseye without using the sights. That's the cross road, to get even more precise using a scope or point and shoot.
Buckmark and Mark III can use Ultimate Clip Loader. I got one off ebay for $20. Tried it out it works great, very easy. A must have to take to the range.

The 22 Rifle the bolt action types are most precise. Semi-Automatic very accurate and are nice not having to pull a bolt each shot. No doubt a 22 rifle won't be enough :D A nice 30 caliber something or hunting bolt action. :laughing
