BARF Militia

Like the idea getting practice with a 22lr pistol. Skills learned on the 22 should easily translate to larger caliber pistols. Heh when talking semi-automatics the minimal ammo cost sure is attractive.
I don't know about scopes on a pistol. After getting a steady aim, good groupings. Next step is Old West style point and shot. Hitting bullseye without using the sights. That's the cross road, to get even more precise using a scope or point and shoot.
Buckmark and Mark III can use Ultimate Clip Loader. I got one off ebay for $20. Tried it out it works great, very easy. A must have to take to the range.

The 22 Rifle the bolt action types are most precise. Semi-Automatic very accurate and are nice not having to pull a bolt each shot. No doubt a 22 rifle won't be enough :D A nice 30 caliber something or hunting bolt action. :laughing

Yeah - a MKIII first and a .22lr rifle shortly thereafter. I'd rather just use the same ammo between the two (.22lr)...

Anyone interested in this dedicated Spikes Tactical .22lr upper? I'm letting it go for 475.00.

damn Chi...thats a sexy upper man...

I am glad to see that the militia has remained active in my absence. :thumbup

I'm still in the 10-day wait period for my new CZ 75 SP-01 Tactical, but Bullseye in Marin gives you a freebie "conjugal visit" at their range, so I got to shoot it last night. Fricking lovely, right out of the box. Shoots like buttah, and I'm fond of the night sights! I'm very excited. Thanks for the CZ recommendation, Miran.
Here's a pic of another SP-01:

that magpul thing is pretty cool , but cinsidering theres like 4 threads on this just in barf alone, im pretty sure its getting lots of publicity, including the bad kind,

im guessing, we are going to see feinstein holding this thing up at some sort of press conference in her latest attepmt to disarm us all.

Magpul is making some pretty sweet stuff! It's probably classified as a short barreled rifle with the stock, is that covered by a AOW stamp for $200?

I really really want one of the single action CZ75s. Man I love those things. Congrats on the nice new gun. Oh, and my friend is back in the country if you're planning another women's shoot. She's got a lot of toys to play with.

Thanks Chi!

How do the Remingtons compare?

I have a Remington 597, and it's a decent rifle for how dirt cheap it is. Also have a 572, and prefer it.

The 10/22 is pretty small with crappy sights. It used to be dirt cheap ($99 at Walmart) to offset that, but now they are kinda expensive. The biggest advantage for them was the widely available 25-round magazines, but you can't get those in CA anymore, but it has a huge after market if you want to pour $1000 into your $200 rifle.

The Marlins are pretty groovy too.

The biggest difference between the rimfires, aside from overall size, is whether they have 10-round detachable magazines, or higher-capacity tubular magazines like my 572 or most Marlins.

If you don't like stuffing magazines, tubular is the way to go. You simply remove the plunger at the end of the magazine, drop in 14 rounds, then stick the plunger back in and shoot. :cool

Anyone who's stuffing an airsoft shell with a .22: can I have your airsoft guts? I'm mounting an airsoft gun on an R/C plane for strafing and the one I have is a super cheapo $20 gun.
